Wanted some guidance

Hi guys I seriously want to change my job but don’t know how to go about it. Currently I am working as data engineer but my most of the work is monitoring etl loads. I interviewed at few places but wasn’t able to crack them. I want to switch to a good company but don’t know how to start preparation,, I connected with few people on LinkedIn and those people sent me their top mate link. Is there no one who can help for free ?
