Does Rippling MDM track activity?

My company has asked me to install Rippling MDM temporarily on my macbook till they ship me a new MacBook. I wanted to know a couple of things:- 1. Does Rippling MDM track and monitor activity? If yes, how much can they track? 2. I am catering a separate user profile on my Mac for work and installing Rippling MDM there, will Rippling MDM get data from other users as well? 3. When I uninstall Rippling MDM will it erase my entire system or just the user it's installed in? Please help me out.

Using office MDM on personal iPhone / IPad. Your expertise?

Hi, I for a fact know that employers install MDM if you plan to BYOD. But I am keen to know how much do they track your personal activities, personal apps and does that affect ? Any best practices. While I have never faced a problem and neither indulge in any obscure activities, but with iCloud being the center of my photos, family storage, backups it is difficult to disassociate that with my iPhone. Pls comment.

If I'm being given a Macbook Air from my startup organization, and I installed a chrome browser in it. I use a chrome profile created by my work email for work purposes. In the same chrome browser, I've logged in with personal gmail as well, and other email accounts as well. How do I know if any of my searches in my personal chrome profile is being monitored or can be tracked by my HR or startup? How to maintain privacy here? Is there a way to be sure about it - I understand a lot of people use work and personal email in the work laptop itself.

Seriously, Can we get rid of the Employee Tracking Nonsense?

Why can't we trust people to do their thing without turning the workplace into big boss. I signed up for a job, not a 24/7 surveillane I get it, productivity matters, but so does sanity. I'd rather have the freedom to get my work done without feeling like I'm being spied on. As long as I get work done on time. Does it matter how much hours I put in? Everytime I login I feel like I am being watched. This is making me go insane.

First round happened in March. 130-140 engg. Around 40 engg were fired. Then some silent layoffs happened in different teams like hr. Then Few good enggs left the company. This week another round happened with around 20-25 enggs

I am considering buying a macbook air, feel like spending 1.3 lakh for new m2 air is too much. What do you guys suggest, should you buy second hand? Should I buy 1.5L MacBook or buy a 70K Windows laptop?

I'm confused between buying a MacBook Air M2 13", MacBook Pro M1, Macbook Air M2 15" (which just launched a few hours ago) or simply HP Pavilion, Lenovo ThinkPad, Asus Vivobook kind of 70K ish windows laptops. I know Macbooks deliver way better battery and screen. But I'm wondering if it is worth investing 1.5L? I would appreciate your opinion.
