How to get freelance work?

Hi All, I have been working in Infosys for the last 2.5years in the Data Analysis domain with SQL and Microsoft Power BI skillsets. Now I am planning to switch job. so which extra skills in the Data field can I learn for the future? Which is the most demanding technology in the Data field?

Hi I have 4 years experience as a Data scientist, full time. I'm looking for freelance / consultant roles in the industry. Any leads / suggestions how to find these roles ? PS: it's kind of urgent as I got laid off recently.

I am from a non CS background. Worked as a freelancer in my field in 2021. Took a break in 2022 to figure things out. Now I have a good portfolio in Data field. Would like to know which companies are looking for fresher Data analysts to join them... Been applying on LinkedIn, Wellfound and other job boards, only 1 called me for an interview so far and I have failed. Most don't respond to my applications. Couldn't DM people on LinkedIn, because they have premium. Would love to get a referral or let me know any companies that are hiring for Data roles. Preferably startups, small companies and any company with below 5000 employee count.

Hey guys, I'm a recent engineering graduate from a Tier-1 University with decent skills and cgpa. As I graduated, I got placed in a MNC as a consultant. But I haven't heard any updates from them yet. Worried about my future, I've started applying to companies for internships and jobs too. But not only am I not getting selected, I'm not getting any kind of updates from these companies too. Not even as much as a rejection mail. I've recently hit three digits in the number of applications and it's worrying me to see no responses. So this is my humble request to the community to help me find a job. I'm a skilled data analyst with proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI and Python. I also did many projects on data science and machine learning but my primary interest lies in analytics. Even anything as small as a suggestion/tip on what to do or how to proceed would be helpful !!! Thanks in advance.

I am working in oracle PLSQL for past 18 years. Now I am not getting much opportunities in this technology. Started learning data science and then slowly specialising in pyspark . Still did not genuine work experience. Is it ok to apply for pyspark job openings ? All are asking for experience.

I entered the workforce in 2021 and have been working on a not-so-in-demand technology called pl/sql and that too on a niche implementation. I've been trying very hard to shift to other companies to no avail. If I take up something else to master, to be honest, everybody is asking for professional experience - so is it really worth it? I have done a couple of projects but nobody's noticing wherever I apply - for example: a few data engineer projects on aws, airflow, kafka, etc. So I thought I should start applying for non tech roles like business analyst, APM, UX, etc with some hackathon experiences and sql work on my job. I learnt figma, balsamiq, etc. made some mockups and HLDs. Did 100s of courses and got certifications - no use. Then I thought I should get into core programming, so I learnt python (even tried solidity for some time) and did a few projects on python albeit beginner level. Then I thought since I've got a little bit of exposure in python let's do some data analytics. Did a few projects on power BI and tableau and lots of related courses. Out of frustration I told manager that I want to do something else, he was kind enough to refer me into an internal company initiative, but it does nothing unfortunately. My friends said resign and fake your experience (which I was fearful of) so I put my naukri joining to available immediately and still didn't get a single call. Then tried some linkedin optimization stuff. Asked for 100s of referrals in many many companies. Nothing worked out. So, now I want suggestions from the top tier, creme-de-la-creme of Indian workforce and want to know what do they have to say about it.

Hello Professionals, Kindly help, I am looking for data analytics roles from past 3,4 months even after doing good in interviews I haven't recieved any offer yet. If there is any data analytics or business analytics position open at your organization kindly refer me. My tech stack - SQL, Python, Power BI Tableau, Having relevant Microsoft certification. So I am currently working on mainly Python and SQL. I was thinking of upskilling but I am confused whether I should go full stack role maybe learn react or should I go data engineer role and learn big data. I have worked with ETL software’s such as snowflake and Databricks. I want to switch job but looks like no one is hiring for someone who only knows python and sql.(though major work is on sql only ) Any suggestions

Hello folks, This is a call for every software engineer and broader community. I’m a 30 year old customer support employee who worked at Airtel, MPL, Wazirx and I have 5 years of total experience all things customer support. About a year ago, laid off at Wazirx due to crypto taxes and regulations and it’s been an uphill battle to find a steady job in the market. Did few freelance jobs but nothing is working out. I’m at a point where I’m unable to even get by on monthly basis. I’m a Engg dropout as well, so no degree, no real top notch experience to land other roles. I finally decided to have a crack at software jobs and pivot to whole new field. I have few queries, if anyone can find some time and answer them, it would mean the world to me 1. Do I need a degree to land software roles ? 2. To pivot to coding roles ( no prior experience), where should i start ? 3. There’s an ocean of misinformation out there, I’m really confused on where to start and which courses to take up? ( Planning to take up Phyton ) 4. Can coding help to land freelance jobs ( I know it’s difficult and takes time to reach good enough of a level but I’m willing to work hard and put the hours in ). 5.
