May treat this as a thread to list out some key-happenings that you would like to see reported. Please stick to speaking about companies you are employed at. Third-party commentary, and hear-say doesn't help anyone. Let's keep this genuinely, Grapevine.

There is a significant gap in the energy sector. I have been working in this field for years, and still, whenever there is a policy change or new regulations arrive, most of the mainstream media do not even cover it. Some new electronic media outlets that cover it just copy-paste everything as mentioned in the policy or draft.
For example, CERC recently released a draft on market coupling, which is a significant development for the Indian power sector. It will change the entire structure of the Indian power sector in the upcoming years. Even because of it, the IEX share prices went down, but none of the media outlets has covered it in detail. I know there are very few experts in this sector, but the media should work on it.
Another example is a few months back when India's carbon plan was revealed by the government, and a draft paper was also released. However, there was no detailed article in any of the media outlets explaining how it is different from the European market and how it aligns with the Paris Agreement.
Whenever these types of policies come, we in the energy sector find it difficult to explain them to our clients, as they ask for reference articles when there are none. (And believe me, these policies will come more frequently in the upcoming years to achieve India's carbon goals.)
Do you not find relevant reports from any of the big consulting firms? Like I know all the big ones have sustainability and energy sector teams.
Or are they not good enough? Or reporting is inconsistent or not periodical?

Bro they are just copy pasting the draft circulated by CERC or MOP. No research no detailed review. It's not me alone all the consultants in my field feel it.
For instance just think you are an entrepreneur who wants to start a business in the field of carbon trading and for that you have to check the policies created by government and also the methodologies to calculate carbon credits for different sectors(like plastic recycling plant, forests, river recycling, bio gas plant etc.). You will find nothing in context of india.

I think we can all benefit from less glorification on funding announcements and more ‘real value’ coverage. What is someone actually trying to solve for - what is the thesis and how are the competitors placed

Startups boasting about their numbers to journalists should actually show their balance sheets and Bank statements and ITR filings.
Lots of scamming will stop there itself.
