6-7 round interview
Org’s that conduct 6-7 rounds of interviews before rejecting a candidate. Don’t you think the hiring process is broken ?

It shouldn't make more than the hiring manager. At best if you're looking for a culture fit, or if the hiring manager wants a second opinion. Everything else is bakwas. Unless it's like a leadership role where there's people you have to deal with and hence they're getting a sense of you. Tabhi ek room mein baithakar khatam karo. Hiring should be a week or two max. Karan Bajaj sahi karta tha, khud hi interview, go-no go in 2 days, offer on 3rd day.

It's completely acceptable.
Employees usually has 3 to 4 offers. Similarly Employers has every right to choose potential candidates till end and reject others if they are not eligible. But they should acknowledge the rejected candidates with proper reason.

Its not about employees having 3-4 offers. He/she might have gone through 6-7 rounds there too. Point is why does it take 6-7 rounds to understand a candidate.
Isn’t there any better way to figure out in may be at max 4 rounds?

Payoneer does that. I had five 1-1 interview rounds along with 1 assignment round ove rthe course of 3 months and they never got back with a response. They kept saying management hasn't given feedback since a week it'll happen soon etc. 3 months later, sorry everything went well and we got good feedback but we chose another candidate.
I mean what does that mean?

I attended interviews midtrips from a mountain like ZNMD scenes. All efforts gone futile. This was for a Marketing role.
It’s always what benefits someone. Which is why they should be equally prepared if a candidate ditches them on the day of joining for a better offer.
If the interview process is longer than 4 interviews, I don't give the interview.
