Hey guys, I’m from a non-tech background working in sales (with MBA) & looking to get into PM role. Can grapevine family help/share some tips as to how can I switch to PM role? TIA.

Say you are a spectator and this seems like the next best thing to get into.. is that the right thought? And if you’re a non tech bachelors with an mba degree from tier two college, Is it possible to break in product management? And if you’re seriously considering product still, are the fellowship programs, the boot camps and everything else advertised worth spending money? Looking for answers, personal journeys and anything that can help!

i am product manager with 6yoe and with some good brands. but lately i am wondering if this is peak and future demand of software product manager with no hands on coding experience will keep declining i sometime feels that either i have to learn coding (which i am learning) or else find a hard core industry like EV, renewable energy, batteries, semiconductor etc whats your thoughts? super curious to learn what you all feel about digital product manager? also one question where i appreciate your feedback - I have not done MBA yet but contemplating it now to make switch industry to non software. I know this is very non traditional but would love to hear feedback

I am working as a Technical Associate and have 2 yoe How can I explore product management sector. Any suggestions?

I am a software engineer with 2 yrs of experience. I am kinda fascinated with the developing idea of project than developing the product. I want to switch to product management which I think somehow doing it my current job except giving the idea. I like to innovate solutions and implement then in the real world and I want people to use it. I think this would be the right path to get started into it. Doing an mba is also good option but I think moving to pm role will be a good option . It’s to crack it but not impossible. I am not sure how the feature would be for this career. Hey folks, I'm wondering what kinda role I should pursue next after product management. I'm done with this role, works vary from company to company and team to team. It's tough to make people understand the difference between pre-PMF products & mature products, and how the metrics impact vary across the spectrum. And this completely changes the equation of your appraisal or your promotion as well. I don't see myself working in the same kind of role after 5 years. So I'm wondering what kinda role I should look out for? My general interests are more analytics & strategy centric. What do you guys think??

Hi, I'm currently working as a Product Analyst at a promising startup, where I've been working on enhancing product delivery processes, keeping a check on deadlines (part of PMO), and driving client adoption for the past 1.5 years. Here my primary responsibilities involve conducting data analysis of projects and tickets, identifying trends and patterns, and providing insights to inform product decisions. However, I'm not directly involved in the core decision-making processes that shape product strategy. This is my first job and I feel there will be nothing specific that I will own in project management and/or process excellence, there is nothing much to grow in this field, and pretty much anybody can replace this task, *please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm particularly fascinated by the prospect of building solutions that will directly impact our clients hence the real world, developing innovative product strategies, and bringing impact to the business. I have some questions and seeking guidance. Insights, personal experiences, or any guidance will help me a lot. Thanks in advance. - Should I consider pursuing a product management role? - Or should I step toward product strategy? - If I need to get into product strategy, how can I do that? is an MBA a must for this kind of role? - Or are there other avenues that might be more suitable for my current skillset and experience?
