mba worth
Does mba helps in long term? I know in short term it doesn't pay as much as sdes. But in long term sdes have salaries capped after certain stage. So if one decides to go into executive position, does not having mba hinders the process. Has anyone experienced this non - sense. I know this doesn't happen in usa, there people from philosophy background can go into higher position on the basis of merit or politics:). But here in India how's the scenario. Please put your thoughts.

Definitely helps in long term growth in both the world's esp in pm and strategic roles. Education will always help in growth.
But any role in tech requires continuous upskilling , so even after MBA you need to continuously learn and unlearn. Best of 🤞
In a bull market it doesn’t matter. In a bear market, with few jobs and lots of candidates, non mba loses out to mba (all else being equal) because it’s a convenient filter for dedication and analytical brainpower that recruiters and hiring managers will use.
Your hiring manager will also be a tier 1 mba. So might be difficult to convince them that mba is not a good filter
Ps: I’m only counting tier 1 mba

but with time and experience doesn't it loose it's shine. I mean after 15 yrs... what's there, isn't only skills should be accounted?
- It enables you to get much better roles in those 15 yrs.
- I have personally seen mba matter uptill like 6yoe
- I am assuming your questions are regarding PM career ladder since it’s in the PM section. For SDE career ladder, I don’t know how much it matters
