I have been working at EY for the past 3 years (joined after the pandemic) and there's been suddenly a shift in their policies. Last FY has been really slow for the company and now they're doing all in their power to make people leave the company. For example, compliance about things which no one was bothered a single bit in the past 2 years has suddenly become an issue at every possible level. Be it to being in office twice a week or even missing to fill out your timesheets. There have been no replacements for everyone who's left the company in the last 6 months. At the start it seemed like they valued talent but all rules and ethics seem to be thrown out of the room this year. Attrition is the mantra. With the upcoming appraisal season there are minimalistic hopes from the company. And all of the above seems like an effort to have excuses for poor ratings. All of this seems like a tactic to make you quit yourself before they start firing ! I plan to leave this place ASAP

But they are actively recruiting from B-Schools . I feel they are just cutting costs due to the economic slowdown.

No , I'm not talking about summer internships. EY GDS hired 3-4 people from my college in the final placement.

All they want is to close position and fulfil business needs! However the role and my experience interviewing with the panel from business was very nice. A lot of people at Unacademy have already resigned, and they are unable to hire replacements from the market( for who knows what reasons). Now as we all know people who are left in the organisation are going to have a tough time. Leaves not being approved, longer hours at work, mental harassment in the name of being available 24*7 is becoming a day to day thing. Now they are forcing people to take up sections of business one has never dealt with and are threatening to fire them if they are denying those roles. People who left the organisation in 2022 are the luckiest and well a bunch of well informed individuals who saw the end of this company before anyone else could have. What a time to be in edtech, indeed

Finding new ways to stop promotions at EY GDS Assurance

Leadership at EY GDS Assurance has found new ways to stop promotions at Executive levels (SM to ED and ED to Partner). They would now not consider whatever things you have done in the past but now is adamant that one should go for a onshore rotation or move to the most unappreciated team i.e. AQS. Things now have gone from bad to worse and favouritism is at its peak. Once the policy is officially out there will be a mass resignation planned to display displeasure against this backward move.
