What's your opinion on the recent electronics import ban?

I am aware the title is mushy. After reading ET and Indian Express this morning, I'm still not very clear on the exact situation. Bkl word count bhadane me lage hain 🤦🏻 - Is the ban completely in effect or will be by 1st Nov? - Is it even a ban or are we being misguided by headlines again? How could it affect us? I was planning to buy a laptop, GPU and Monitor after some saving. Seems like I'd have to rush before prices jump up. Or go back to my i3-2120 🥺. Very interesting that this overlaps nicely with launch of 🤮 JioBooks. Helping their sale in lower price segment.
