Compensation in current market💸

I have given interviews and cleared them. I got a call from HR asking for payslips and another offer details. They said they will get back with offer. How to go about here? If they come with a lower offer than what i asked, how much liberty i have to ask further. Does HR will come with 2-3 various levels of offer and then try to negotiate with me. Any help or insights would be helpful in how HR comes with offer details. My interviews were pretty good and i think they like me.

Disclaimer: I respect both of them, svs & SG; dare I say I am a fan. But being on the other side of recruiting with all the power and influence of the corporate hierarchy, they seem to be out of touch. Current reality: Firms put candidates on hold for months. HRs hardly reply to follow-ups. Processes with assignments that is free Labour in disguise. Asymmetry in salary negotiation (Companies asking for salary slips without telling us their budget/range). Candidates are already on uneven field. SG and svs suggesting us to play it with integrity is bordering on their hypocrisy. If you like a candidate and he has multiple offers, There's a reason he has multiple offers. Either Pay up or shut up!

Posting it again! Please respond - 21 Years old. M&A Investment Banking Front End in a boutique Investment Bank. 6L CTC, 46K in hand. Bonus of 3L subjective, not counting it. Is the compensation fair?

There’s this chap on GV who posted that they haven’t received any calls for the past 3 months. Has 2.5 years experience with a current ctc around 15L. We spoke to them only to realise their expectations are 32L (26 fixed and 6 in esops) In a market flooded with resumes due to unfortunate situations, is it fair to have such an expectation and at the same time, call out on GV that they haven’t been getting calls for an interview?

I really don't like the practice of sharing current CTC. Not only it ties your future income to your current income but it also traps you into a vicious cycle of justifying your hikes. I've been looking for a job for the past 4 months. Recruiters usually drop my application because I don't share the current CTC. Recruiters that do entertain my application, tend to ghost me after I clear the interview. I don't want to compromise on my principle. What shall I do? YoE: 6y+ Software Developer.

Me thinking to switch after every 2 years max, for bettter opportunity 🤟, and better hike. Because eventually after 1-2 year, you reach saturation point. My concern is It is good to switch to new company even if current company is really good with you in all the way possible.... Except giving salary hike😔

I believe it is extremely difficult to judge exact level of an individual during an interview. It is better to also use past salary as some indication of value to last company. Having said that, the company needs to get to the correct salary range depending on performance in first 6 months. Thoughts?

How do you tell your boss that he/she is keeping all the ESOPs and doing 10% of the work and I am getting peanuts?

How do you deal with offers that are only slightly above your current salary but on the high end according to the market rates?
