Rural vs Urban

Question to bachelors working in a remote job from a metro like Bangalore, Delhi or Mumbai and not living with parents. How do you deal with not having people around you ? Does it get lonely sometime ? How do you manage your day and schedule around work in general ? Context :- I've got a job offer from an Indonesia based startup and they don't have an office in India. I've never worked a remote job, except COVID and I don't know if I should work from the metro or go back home? Benefits of Metro : You get to be around people who work similar jobs. Benefits of home : You save money and life is a little peaceful there.

I was suffering from 2-3 mild health issues in metro. (prolonged cold n cough, regular sneezing etc) Came home 🏡 in diwali and now extended wfh due to health gain. Living with parents and consuming clean air + food is helping improve my sleep quality as well ❤️‍🩹 (2h+ deep sleep) 8h continuous sleep. I did cost benifit analysis and have decided to work on a plan which will eventually help me settle down at my birthplace within 2-5y. synopsis -- Children's play under sun 🌞 and have group of 10 kids. They ain't worried about anything. Their happiness index > ceos. They don't know about masturbation till 10th or age 14 if they don't have a smartphone. My workplace is open and aqi is below 10. Strong peepal and banyan trees 🌴 even 100y old. When I feel stressed due to any reason I just go to see sunset near my place hardly 2km away. It's a stress buster with earbuds in and watching migrant birds crossing river. Ain't those birds more free and independent than us? Like they don't give a damn 🕊️ about future and enjoy the present. Very less car and almost 0 traffic ⛔. People still use bicycles and cycle repair shop>garages. Life is slow and peaceful. People go to sleep at 9-10pm and wake up at 5-6am. Life is too easy. Cost of a family with 2acre land is hardly 25k/m here. Sometimes I wonder why chase 2 lac/month sacrificing so much in a so called developed city. Society is ambivert. Pizza 🍕 🍔 burger biryani is trying to enter these areas. But I don't miss swiggy. Zeptonis redundant here. I am joining a new company which is remote first. Does it makes sense to be in banglore? Given that if i move to my home town, I will save 95% of my income. I am confused because I also like banglore and dont like the idea of living with my parents. But if i stay at home for 2 3 years, I would be able to buy a property in banglore when i move back in future.

Guys who are staying in metro cities like Delhi NCR, Pune, Bangalore or Hyderabad.. Can anyone tell me how much in hand salary is sufficient to live above mentioned metro cities with the family who has parents and 2 children dependents? Currently I am working remotely (work from home) but due to no hikes or promotion I think I need to switch and now a days very less or none companies offering work from home..Evey company either 5 days a week or following hybrid model... So, please give ur valuable suggestions so that I can get idea whether should I switch and come to any metro cities or should I stay back in my hometown with same salary?

I have been doing WFH for the last 3 years from my hometown. Before that i was in Bangalore(YOE:5). Now i am kind of bored, doing the same activity daily, visiting the same places on weekends. Thinking of relocating for short-term(1-2 months) somewhere, budget 20-25k monthly, not so lonely place. Suggest some places, internet is a top priority. If i liked the place, I can extend my stay.

Hi Guys, I am senior dev with 10+ yrs of experience. I am working remotely for last 3 yrs. I want to move to my hometown which is tier 3 city. The main purpose of moving is because my daughter can have company of my parents, saving money and slow pace life. The infra, schools and hospitals here are better then what i get in my area in Pune Has anyone moved to tier 3 cities in case of remote job? How has been experience so far? My only fomo is that what in the future i need to switch, will i be able to find the remote job easily? How hard it is to find the remote job?

I have awork ex of 5 years and work with one of the best consumer tech startups in India making 32LPA and stocks. Lately, I feel that no matter how much you make here, the quality of life isn't all that great in Bangalore with the roads, pollution and what not. At this stage, I can't lose 2 years of my time to a masters degree and start afresh in the USA. At the same time, I'm not sure how to find job opportunities in US, EU or even SE Asia. Can anyone guide me on this?

Hi I got a remote job and planning to shift to tier 4 city. Major reason is to be with family and have slow pace life. The small town has good enough infrastructure including good internet and road connectivity. Do you think it would be a good idea in short term or long term? I am planning to continue remote job only until the day comes where i wont be able to find remote job.
