Software Engineering vs MBA
I know it's an apple-to-orange comparison but which of these two, according to you, leads to a better career*? By a better career I mean a role that pays better, has better chances to increase that pay, better opportunities to have an impact, better WLB, better peer group, etc *Let's assume we're talking about a respectable level of competency in either of these fields (a good engineer vs a good MBA)

populous country like India may give you edge if you have mba from top tier college at the start of your career. Do mba to make friends, baki kuch jyada expect mat karna. Tech will suffer the same fate as any other engineering branches and pay will be recalibrated as the other ones. Tech mein chaar aane ki maal 12 aane ko benchte hain, so thoda dhyaan se...web3 fuck3 ke chhakr mein mat aana. Gartner cycle dekho. For the past few years all mba wanted to be product manager which is again super marketed role, now that tech has bursted they will go back to consulting:). Do whatever the fuck feeds you. Have a soft plan in mind. Research about the roles after mba. Then only decide. Regarding salary part it's like long term for mba and short term gain for tech but you can also go into management afterwards if you want to spend a decade in tech. we live in a VUCA world. No one can predict what will happen after 6 months. So better be ready to crush whatever comes your way. That soft plan u made will help u to curb the anxiety. Like I am thinking about appearing for gmat, my interest lies in strategic consulting, but they require strong profile, so I will target branded companies not necessarily faang, but good ones. I ll try hands on management too, if given chance, baki to to have my own business is fantasy, vo hua to these things won't matter
