Got a hike but tax deducted

I got salary of 250000 in April which includes bonus + leave encashment around 90k, for which there was a 50k income tax cut for this month. HR said since bonus was more, they had to deduct 50k. Is this how it is usually done? Is that amount justified?

What does "Tax deducted at source" mean? Cuz my company is deducting 200/- as professional tax already along with provident fund. Does anyone know or it's a fancy term for "pay us more tax"?

I have selected old tax regime and I have declared around 1.80 Lacs of investment. Now my tax is not getting deducted in monthly salary but from the declaration I am not actually doing any investment. How should I resolve this issue. Please guide if someone know this!

I filed ITR yesterday via ClearTax. It was super smooth unlike the experience I had two years back. Had to pay 1.6k as it was classified as ITR3. It automatically pulled data from Savings bank / FD interest details and from Groww. So had no manual entry in any step. Finally had to pay unlike last time (even for the unassisted process) and then even the step in IT portal was done automatically (via the APIs) Overall, it went well and I could file in about 20 min. Just wondering if it's all good or should I be worried if anything went wrong? Should I get a second review from any CA? Note: I had to pay about 12k tax which CT calculated and I have paid the same.

Hi, experts I was filing itr, so needed help, I started my job from May 2022, but before that I did an internship where I got salary credited to my account , it was around 1500 for one month (March) for this assessment year and also they did deduct a tds of around 300 rupees which I can see on my itr home page . So should I include those amount in my gross income while filing tds ( I have only included my current gross salary) ?

Now it is fetching your savings account, fixed deposits, mutual funds, stocks everything. Earlier these details were not fetched and we could just hide those earrings from the IT portal to pay less tax. Now we need to pay those extra tax too 😡 this year I had to pay 17k extra tax due to this.
