Thoughts on this product from X?

Quite confused why the rebranding is taking place. Twitter is such a good brand name, everybody gets it, and has positive blue colours too. X seems to be something very random. Almost instantly it does not reflect what the product would be. It’s great to see that Elon Musk takes audacious bets all the time, but it’s starting to feel like he’s someone who lacks any sense of how user’s think. This could be costly for Twitter as multiple of these changes compound.

Can anyone share comments on whether its worth it. Does it help you get placed. Does the community help you get a job?

We all know it’s high time that we need an LinkedIn alternative. Which are those potential LI alternatives you have recently joined or heard of?

I don’t know anyone who even recalls what it is or was. Possibly the fastest rise and decline for anything in the tech era. Do you use Threads ?

Amazing UX, thoughtfully crafted UI...much better than Twitter. Overall from a product standpoint, I like the ecosystem angle that Meta is creating for the social media space (like how Apple built its ecosystem). If the content is unlike Instagram now, I think it's a great strategic move by Zuck, especially when there's so much restructuring going on at Twitter. What are your initial thoughts?

What if there were a social media platform that had only paid users and part of the payment would go to creators based on performance metrics? Would the quality of the platform be different? What about scale? Can it be built profitably? Wondering about the threads vs Twitter debate and what can be a differentiator in this space.
