Are silent layoffs illegal?
Didn't know that we can really file a case against the firm if it silently lays off employees.
Laying off without notice period is illegal. Hence the action.

Laying off more than 200 people without govt approval is also illegal. If more than 200 people file complaint than May be some action can be done. Also depends on labour laws of a place. Byju had to revoke
