Don’t do it. I can understand your frustration and feelings of unfairness. This is just a blip in your life but sit back and watch how much your silence will take him through dumps. The moment you tell him anything about how bad he was, it’s human nature to try and correct himself just to get some audience wins on his side and who knows he might change. But why do you owe him even that bit of learning. He chose to be the ass now let him be fked. I don’t believe in burning bridges etc. life and world is way humongously huge and there are many many bridges.just watch how life and way of life is changing in the recent times. The old outdated ways of sucking up is irrelevant. Yes we have worser problems but why to go back to the same shit. It is a start of a rebellion. PS : i m ruthless that way!

It is always a good idea to share honest feedback in your exit interviews. But the wordings have to be +ve instead of -ve Instead of micromanagement - I wish I had more freedom to work on my projects Instead of can ask employees for anything - sometimes it felt that tasks were not suited to my role/JD Not at all worthy to run an employee friendly company - it was a very dynamic, challenging work environment from Day 1 Just don't use negative words, leave on a cordial note. Also people saying FnF issues, bad recommendations, etc - I have not seen it happen nor have heard of it - has anyone seen an ex boss intentionally try to ruin the career of an ex employee?

Never burn bridges. You may think this was the worst boss ever but probably the next one is lurking out there. Let karma take its own course.

Whatever you say, he is not gonna change his character or attitude. He will only think who are you to tell me how to behave as I’m the one paying salary. And in general just speaking with you, he can’t change a character that has been with him for years. So better move on with positive note, as Nothing going to change. Wish him for the business success and thank him for the opportunity provided.

If you dont want the letter and fnd, go ahead. I was once so frustrated with a boss, I did the same and am still happy I did that, I did not count that job on my resume and am in a good mnc today. Depends on where you are in life

Always be polite, be grateful for the work opportunity, regardless of that senior person, never disrespect or use foul language. If you maintain a certain baseline level of sanity things don't come back to bite. I've had the misfortune of rejoining the same company with which I negotiated a shorter notice period, before 2 weeks of last working day, because my incoming offer was rescinded.
