How to moonlight?

In the current scenario, I can't rely on only one source of income. Can you give me some tips on how to get a moonlight job and how to handle the work at both places and how to hide the info of my moonlight job. Also if your are an ex-/moonlighter then do share your own experience.

I want to start moonlighting. In my current role I am a lead full stack dev managing 4 people and coding. In the role I am exploring there too the same thing. I am also in a degree course in ml which is demanding. I want any advice which you have. How to manage time/people better. How should I approach this whole thing. What should I looo out for?

I'm currently working on an FTE job - wherein the offer letter its mentioned "During the term of your employment with the Company, you may not engage in any employment or act in any way, which either conflicts with your duties and obligations to the Company, or is contrary to the policies or the interests of the Company." Now, I'm getting enough time and I want to consider working in a 0-1 startup, and the new company I'm joining will know about my current employer - The above mentioned is the only clause the current employer have regarding working in other company. Can the current employer legally put a case anytime in the future if they get to know this? - what are the loopholes I can use here? What position I can join in as (Consultant, Advisory role) - Still an early career professional in order to avoid conflict afterwards. Thank you for your help!!

Question to guys who are working part time for a startup Or foreign client along with a regular job.. How do you manage payments and hide your side-gig from your primary employer? Can you take payments in your own account or in account of someone else? How do you ensure your employer don't find out.. Perhaps use a different laptop .

I do freelancing/contract work while working full time in a company. Is it good idea to mention those works in LinkedIn profile, specially considering it may bring more freelance work if anyone sees it or not?

Was working at a startup, its shutting down and in the meanwhile I am building something on the side. To fund the startup I need cash and some specialised resources. Note - Not working for competitor company In this situation where a employer can hire and fire anyone anytime, why “moonlighting” or working part time, having a business, doing something of your own should be problem? If a employer can dump their employees anytime then they have to look for themselves, they have life, expenses, dependencies. This is a high time companies change their points on this in appointment letters and contracts. What do you guys think?

Hi, I am currently working as an SDE in India. I want to start a small business (online consultancy) with a friend which will require some legal stuff like GST and partnership firm/company registration in India. For the initial days of the business, we will be working full time as well and will work on our business in our free time. If this scales well, we'll probably leave our jobs and work on the business full time. Now, I have a few questions regarding this - is it a case of moonlighting? - What will happen if my employer gets to know this in the future? - What are the legal implications in India for this? - What are the workarounds for this? I've seen many people selling some courses or having a restaurant or some small business along with full time employment. How do they manage to do so?

Is working on your own startup while in MNC a moonlight case, will it lead to serious blow from your company. Wanted to know the opinion what happens when your manager finds out that you also run a startup. What are the possibile things you can do to avoid this ? Any recommendations by anyone . Or any things to be aware of ?
