Placements scenario.

At the time of Boards i got some Anxiety and panic and it affects my 12th marks so badly.... However I got 68% in 12th and 58% in PCM.🥲 Does really 12th marks matter in Placement??? I already applied for Improvement exam but I'm burn out from study again those stuffs and I don't know whether I will increase my marks or decrease..... How 12th marks affect in placement and become the drawback for me in placement?? Overall it only gives support in taking college but idk what to do??? Suggest me your opinion or Idea??

I'll be getting my degree next year, and the placements are starting from August. I've been working on a lot of projects lately that are based on web and feel confused whether I would be able to make it in placements. My parents have already poured in a lot of money for the tution and hostel fees. Fyi. I'm from a Tier 3 college and have no close relatives to guide me and I've only interned as a Research Intern last year. My GPA is around 7. Would love to get some suggestions from folks who've been through this.

I am an engineering student from tier 1 clg, with very low cgpa. My chances of getting those high paying jobs is very low as I don't code and the only options left for me is analyst and pm. Please suggest me how should I prepare for off campus placements/ internship as I have no idea that how are they different from on campus placements

I'm from the cursed batch , 2024 which is about to end within 2 months , after I'll be at home with no placements in hand , it's all my fault coz I didn't study, I have just 7.02 cgpa and college didn't even shortlist my name , so instead of having a year gap , should I do mtech from local college so that side by side I can grind req skills Like there are 2 sides of this First one , having a gap (let's say 6 months) and trying hard off campus to crack a company. Second one , doing mtech from local college, and in that time period trying to get off campus, why off campus, it is obvious local college= no placement Now gate preparation also req time , and this year gate exam has already been done . So waiting for the next gate exam will be no point . Thanks in advance 🙏

My question, as a college student, which is a better thing to do? 1. Keep learning new tech stack and build different projects. Or 2. Try to contribute to some organization through open source and learn through contribution itself (assuming i have some basic knowledge) + increase my network of connections (if possible). My primary goal right now is getting decent on campus placement as of now but i have plans to try oss contribution in future even if i am unable to do rn. My 2nd year will end in a few days btw. Note that i can't do both simultaneously as my college is very hectic (tier 3) but it has some okayish placement.

Hi guys, what's the status of the job market rn? I am from a good college but worried about Placements because of recession anol. Do companies have stopped hiring. Btw I will be sitting for software roles in placements..

I started working around 2017 never upskilled enough to switch and realised my mistakes very late Would my past experience be an issue if I get into good colleges like IITs/IISc By the time I graduate I would be around 33-34 maybe ? Is it too late to get into GATE. I also can't afford to go to foreign masters degree. I am single so only parents are dependent on me. myquals: BE in CS from tier 3 college in Maharashtra. Any experienced advice is appreciated.
