How are the placements of 24 batch going to be?

Talked with few of my seniors working in finance/IB and tech and a few of my friends doing internships in big tech. All of them are of the view that placements for 24 batch will be far more worse than 23 batch.Many companies have stopped expansion plans and arent expanding teams,I am mostly refering to the software/IT and finance industry here. So my question, are the placements of 24 batch going to be worse than the 23 batch,what are your views?
