Flipkart downsizing?
Got a call from one acquaintance looking for opportunities outside Flipkart informing me that downsizing discussions are going on amid hiring freeze which is ongoing since last 1 year.
Does anyone have more info on this?
Someone from my connections told that Flipkart have consulted Bain/BCG ( don't remember exactly) and are planning to fire 10% of the workforce
Anyone heard something?
These bloodsuckers at Bain and BCG always come up with reorg and firing as first solution
They are brought in to take the fall. Don't forget it's the leadership who has the final say. They did it
Tbf personnel rationalisation is always the last solution brought up in any cost cutting exercise
It is Bain, and the information is partially correct. There is a org level call that will impact some employees as soon as next 1-3 weeks
I think they will fire people on pip.
How you got this info?
Bain is on retainer for Flipkart.
Will sister companies like Myntra and PhonePe be impacted as well?

Flipkart would be 15000 employees? So this might be as much as 1100 people 😕
Is it true that Flipkart has laid off a lot of people recently? Across PM, tech, business roles? Can anyone confirm this?
