A positive experience with Jobsurance

I was recently affected by LinkedIn's layoffs in November 2023, and I've heard jobsurance being a scam, but I want to give the highest recommendation to them, for their support and quick turn around time to get the insurance process completed.

Ankit, the company founder, personally involved himself in my case, kept me in the loop with regular updates, and guided with the options. I am really grateful to him and the organisation for their support during the trying time for me. I've got 2 out of the 3 payments, and the last payment is scheduled in a week.

If you are looking for unemployment insurance, consider them, and going through my referral link: https://upsolv.in?utm_referral=A08DE596 will both get us a little something.

I am here if you have any questions.

How much did you spend and how much did you get ? What if you want to stop the service at some point of time. Give us some details 🤗

@Borosil_Carrier I spent 6499/- and I will get 6L (so far, I've got 4L). The subscription is for a year, and is 'prepaid', so you can't stop the service in the middle of it. My subscription is still going on (and I am still unemployed :'( ), so I've not explored how/whether to renew it.

I would like to give more details, but I also want to make sure that I preserve my privacy (hence this post is on grapevine, and not on LinkedIn / Twitter), as Employers are biased against those who are unemployed. I will answer what ever question people ask, as long as my privacy is protected.

No problem, that’s cool. Thanks for the info.

Wait. So you are saying per year as per your plan you have to give 6499/- right and in that year if you got unemployed then immediately for the next 3 months you will get some money (2L in your case) as per the insurance??please correct me if i am wrong.

And what is the condition? Like immediately from the next month i will get money after the layoff or some timeline?

@Mr_Oliver There is a cooloff timeline and related terms, like any insurance product.

Was it on top of your severance?
How much payout did you got (ballpark number)?

@IcyStance The 'unemployment allowance' was irrespective to the terms with employment termination agreement. I got 2L in each installment as per my plan from jobsurance (will be getting a total of 6L, including the final installment in about a week).

Jobsurance Reviews?

Anybody here checked out Jobsurance? I am seeing a lot of LinkedIn influencers promoting it.(I get skeptical if influencers promote a product). It looks good on papers. Just wanted to know if anyone bought it and what are the costs?

Has anyone tried Jobsurance and received a payout?

I knew my previous company was going under, but since there is a 6 months cooldown, there was no point getting one for me back then. I don’t want to make the same mistake again.

Anyone that has gone through the entire journey?

Also, d...
