I'd say a good paying company will go for a base of atleast 15 lpa and upto 25.

That being said I'd stared with a package of just 8 lpa in 2018 in a not so good start up. I've gotten to more than patity of ~40LPA in 3.5 years. Sodint fear starting low if product is really what you wanna do

  1. What is your current comp now? Excluding ESOP but including variable pay/ variable bonus et al.

  2. How much a SPM2 with 6-8 yrs of product experience earns at InMobi?

I'm at base 38 + 2 bonus, about 30L in stock (no hopes of InMobi going public).

SPM with 6-8 yoe could make between 60L to 90L + stock depending on how good we perceive you to be.

1.5 years after starting my career I got into a company as an APM at 8.5 LPA. Reached above 30 in 3 years since. As long as you're passionate about product, can deliver and can show your impact you'll be alright in the long term.

Switched once after getting into product. 32 LPA with 4.5 yoe (3 in product)

APM should expect anywhere from 12 lacs to 22 lacs.

Top tier companies pay on the higher side. Also if you are being recruited straight out of MBA - you can expect to earn a higher bonus
