 Backing 20 ideas in 6 months in this market is a very difficult task, one would inevitably back a few that they’re not as excited about.

Seeing the S&P500 witness a spectacular "short" rally before popping, and then it becoming decidedly clear that even if the rate hikes were unlikely it was still going to be a long time before rates come down. Becoming much more clearer that the impact on various asset classes and securities is going to be muted for the time to be.

Unless interest rates come down, I can't possibly imagine that the VC funding will pick up again, their LPs can't put in more money unless interest rates come down. Cheap capital fuels the VC ecosystem, if capital isn't cheap then allocation in VC Funds goes down to adjust to a newly adjusted risk appetite of investors.

I am in final year of college and was planning to intern with Antler India this year and was hoping to convert it into a PPO/full time kinda thing. How much do they pay fresh grads?

This came out of nowhere. Poor investments? Executive troubles? Both?

Honestly the investing team lacked grit and commitment towards a founder or an investment. In late 2019 they finalised terms with us while an international investor was leading the round, they pulled out last minute because some random fuck company raised 2X the amount of our round from tier 1 vc. Now that company doesn’t exist anymore but I guess neither the fund…me too can never be an investment strategy but sadly this is pretty much how Indian vcs think. We’re still alive and growing 😁

AMA - I work at a VC fund

Stuck at scaling phase of my startup. Need funds, looking to aquire through PMEGP. But banks keep asking for collateral, even though the plan implemented by the government says non collateral loans. Last financial year we have done a revenue of 35 Lakhs. 
If we can find funding I am sure I can scale it up really good. Tried other laons as well. We are a completely bootstrapped startup since the beginning. All and any help is much appreciated. Dedicated my life towards this business since 4 years. And we have all the required govt registrations.

General Catalyst's Venture Highway Acquisition: A Strategic Play for India 🇮🇳

- Bengaluru-based fintech startup Stable Money has raised INR 123.5 Cr (about $14.7 Mn) in its Series A funding round led by RTP Capital.
- The round also saw participation from existing investors Matrix Partner and Lightspeed Ventures.
- The board at Stable Money passed a special resolution to issue 77,135 Series A Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) at an issue price of INR 16,019 each to raise INR 123.56 Cr, as per regulatory filings.
- The financing round appears to be ongoing and Stable Money is likely to raise more capital in Series A funding.
- Founded by Saurabh Jain and Harish Reddy in 2022, Stable Money offers fixed-return asset investment opportunities for retail investors, such as access to fixed deposits, debt mutual funds, and bonds.

What should be the ideal size of "seed funding" round in India

From the past few months I'm seeing news of all the big projects of National interest being parked in Gujrat. Be it GIFT City, DREAM City, Chip Manufacturing facility by Tata, 2036 Olymics stadium, 2 new smart cities, center for AI excellence, Cholera Solar Park, Bullet Train stations, etc?
I'm happy for all the work happening but it seems unfair that all great projects are happening in Gujrat. 

If trade is a reason, there are other states as well in western coast like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala.

I'm not trying to make it political, but I feel it is. 
If it's not political please give your reasoning. I want to be wrong on this.

Why is everything being built in Gujrat?

Maybe your lenses are coloured. I will list 3 different projects from corners of India -  
  
 1. Jewar Intl airport - Delhi NCR  
 2. Coastal roads - Mumbai 
 3. FinTech City - Chennai  
  
 Many relatively smaller initiatives like reliance met city went to Haryana, MH signed 1.4 trillion$ MoUs in Davos.  
  
 States like GJ, MH, KA, TN have a friendly investment policies for many years now. Check which all states have their own pandals in Davos.  
  
 Tatas wanted to establish a manufacturing base in WB and we all know what happened there.
