Hey Folks,
I’m in a phase where I have decided to move out from my present company. My present company is very dear to me as it gave me the taste of what success looks like. Honestly, I would have never made it had I not received the support and backing that I got here.

I don’t know if I am making the correct decision. Emotions are literally overflowing. One side of mine tells me that I am making the wrong decision whereas the other side is excited to see what future holds for me. 

Literally anxious of all the thoughts that are crossing my mind. What if , I am not able to perform at my next company ? What if , they decide to hire me and then not honour their offer letter ? What if, the company has a mass layoff and I am impacted ?

All these thoughts are literally eating me from inside. Any suggestions on how can I handle the same ?

How to handle emotions while switching companies

This is such a wholesome emotion.
You are not doing anything wrong. Growth makes things uncomfortable because you are leaving your cocoon. 
Next job may or may not be as great, but you will learn so much on your journey.

Plus, great companies are made by great people. Keep in touch with your present colleagues beyond this transition. Hold on to all the best people you find along the way!

So I’ve been with my firm for almost 8 years now and honestly it’s become more of a second home for me. I honestly want more exposure and experience different office culture but it’s difficult to leave a job that I got through when I was in college. Am I the only one feeling this way? This aint about tech but I’m switching. As this is my first switch, a large part of my professional life was spent with good colleagues who were also freshers like me and they were god-sent. Even my seniors were great and I never felt that superior-inferior things. Now that I’m switching, I’m just feeling all alone again. I stay with friends but I’m not feeling good about how it goes in the new organisation. Can someone please give pointers on how I should be in new office so I don’t end up alone?

I just joined a new internship (my first offline internship) at a big company and don't know what to do here... I am getting small tasks that I finish in half a day, not getting a big project and then I'm free for the rest of the office hours, don't know if I should ask for work or it would be allotted to me.
