Good thing is they send you yearly report card of the child that you are sponsoring . Also they used to organise tours where you can visit these school and see the work being done. I recommend you visit if this gets organised. There is so much poverty in India and hearing some of their children stories will bring tears to you . Many of children cannot afford two meals a day . Also eligible for 80G deduction.

Me and my wife are 30 years old software engineer with no kids. Draw 7 lac a month please some yearly bonus. We invest 2 lac a month combined into equity market through mutual funds. 

Expenses: 1.5 lac a month including everything, lives in Bangalore in good society, owns a car, don't thing much before spending. 

Still after everything left with 3 lakhs every month in bank account. Not sure how to use that. We both don't have any fancy "shauk" where we can spend and hence don't have an urge to earn more. 

Any suggestions???

 For us (primarily me) - got a dog, took a 6 month sabbatical, travelled to 30+ countries in this time, left job to pursue startup idea, spend time with parents, learn language, improve fitness, learnt some coding, etc 
  
 It’s a pretty good position to be in - just explore I’d say

Over the last couple of weeks, heatwaves have been bringing down hellfire on north india.

Use the same space to put out your skills, talk about things you worked on
You must be good at something to have survived in the market 
If someone is looking for your profile, your whine post won’t make a cut because it doesn’t even tell them about you

Please don’t cry why the other party is does not deserve to be the ruling party, instead talk about why your favourite party deserves to win the the elections. 
  
 Please don’t cray after a local goon illegally occupies the property you bought with your hard earned money, instead talk about why you deserve to be the rightful owner of that property.  
  
 Please don’t cry when your wife/husband abuses you, instead talk about why you deserve not to be abused.  
  
 I hope you and people with similar thinking get the message. Sometimes you get treated they way you don’t deserve to be treated. A layoff doesn’t mean you are not good at what you do, there are variables, internal politics, mediocre managers safeguarding mediocre talent due to their personal connections. So, let people cry, dil halka hota hai usse.
