Anyone else doing 80-100hrs a week here?
He's a founder and possibly gets salary and stock dividends in millions of dollars every month. He can most certainly work 80hrs a month.
Founders usually work a lot, hence the pay. There's nothing new about it.

You work at Navi. Do tell how many people around you work this much.
Yes. There are cases where developers go home in the morning after overnight stay at office.

Owner of company has 2 things to say. I worked 80 hours. After few decades they will say, i regert not rewarding employees. Many efforts dont need stress but the mentality of 12 hours. Over engineering, visibility, survival politics are all hidden reasons to log more hours

So true... Speeches of Celebrity founders have the same value as item song actresses... Just a feel good factor. I always wondered why people even listen to them.
For founders it makes sense. As an employer I would if I get paid that much else sorry

If something is work related doesn't necessarily mean it's work. it's for their own individual growth, everyone does it but in their own way.
If you enjoy learning and working on things you can work as many hours as you want.
At the end It's all about how each individual does things.
Some read 4 lines to understand one thing some need 10 lines from different sources to understand the same things.
It also depends where each individual is in their lives and where they want to go.
Nobody works 100+ hrs every single week.
Mostly people after their main work research on things they want to learn or research on things that are happening in industry they talk to people from their industry so they just call it WORKING 100+ hrs.

Yeah bro, even I do it. Not as much as Sachin though, I heard at some point he was abusing coke and calling early morning management meetings at 5 am.
I find that a bit too much. I've heard the above from people with whom he was having these early morning meetings. But nevertheless hearsay.
It's his business, he need to work extra hard, only 12-13 hrs a day will not work for him.

Narayan murthy is doing that much
Not 80 but 70-75 / week.
Ps: Not a founder (yet), I work in consulting
He owns a majority stake in the business, apart from whatever is given to employees.
Look at all the small, local businesses of India that got built from the 80s or 90s onwards, most people worked their ass off and created something for their families.
There is nothing wrong in him doing it since the payout to him varies seriously from a large outcome through a listing or even an acquisition.
Check how many hours people who created outlier level wealth worked, you would probably get a very high number.
