In this market, if you have a job without a salary cut, that's enough appraisal
Switched to product this Feb.
Got about 65% hike.
Was in a generalist role at a bootstrapped startup. Now working as APM at a series A fintech startup.
Life is better. Culture is better. Pay is better.
I'm content till I settle into this role.
More than the hike, I value the piece of mind that I've got here. I was severely burnt out at my previous role.

Laid off in Nov 2022. Unemployed for half of 2022. Joined a company at 15% hike. Awaiting appraisal π«
Got 25% appraisal in previous company. Switched companies at 90% hike.
Shifted from low paying to a high paying job; seed stage startup to unicorn. Prev: 18 lpa -> Now: 30 lpa

Joined on 10lpa on 6yoe in tcs and From last 2 years in tcs only didn't got even 1% hike till now, this year determined of getting out of tcs asap whatever happens
Got promoted and got hike.
At first you would think wow. But hike and promoter are seperate. Got 10% hike but got promoted only to get more workload. πππ (I would have gotten 10% anyway as yearly fixed hike)
