It's horrible to manage, overly complicated, not localised well enough for Indian processes or legal compliances, yet the big MNCs use it and ask others to sign up as well. 

One of our invoices was stuck for months due to lack of support from client and Ariba. 

Where did this hellspawn come from and why do people use it? Can anyone tell me?

Lately, I have been applying for jobs through LinkedIn, Glassdoor, career pages, etc. But out of all, the most irritating or tedious is to apply directly on the company's career page!
99 out of 100 times, our resume gets rejected, but to get there, how many details they ask!
- Log in and verify the email
- Upload the resume
- Again, give personal details
- Again, rewrite education details
- Again, fill skill sets
- Rewrite the same skills and experience from the resume to their portal
- Tick marks! OMG
Have you worked before? Or are you part of the military? Are you having a disability? Are you part of XYZ org before, etc., etc.? The list is endless!!

I mean, why can't this be crisp with 1-page detail!? Min it takes 5-10 min to fill all these details and end up getting an email "unfortunately, we don't have the right opportunity for your candidature!"

I don't know, not many are speaking about this! 😐

I see some of the tools like MS Teams, SAP Successfactors kind of enterprise tools having shitty interfaces and UX. Why is it like that ?

Do they wantedly design such shitty interfaces ? In enterprise tools, I find a lot of complexity unlike Consumer apps which mostly are a breeze to use !!!

Any experts here who have experience in Ariba or Coupa. 

1. Please advise where i can learn Coupa?
2. I know and have access to learning videos but from where i should start to learn ariba please advise on sequence

For me it was always startups and now looking at the landscape I think it’s very hard. For 8 years, I just wasted my time.

Anything I am building is failing. Couldn’t raise any funds, non of my products reached mass market or gain enough profits. Have skills but non to utilise on!

Indian B2C is extremely hard, and even though people think Saas is great, bad news guys, Indian business rather use excel than pay for jira. There is a saying now - “Easier to earn a dollar than a rupee”.

Have meet so many founders and VCs. Most of them lost touch of reality. Either moved to US or on leave from their own startups.

Only think I know is going through a complete mental breakdown and no one to look up to. My gf left last year, can’t even get any jobs in this market neither can build something useful.

What gives your life meaning ?

i am product manager with 6yoe and with some good brands. but lately i am wondering if this is peak and future demand of software product manager with no hands on coding experience will keep declining 

i sometime feels that either i have to learn coding (which i am learning) or else find a hard core industry like EV, renewable energy, batteries, semiconductor etc 

whats your thoughts? super curious to learn what you all feel about digital product manager?

also one question where i appreciate your feedback - I have not done MBA yet but contemplating it now to make switch industry to non software. I know this is very non traditional but would love to hear feedback

Context - Since Deloitte does not get a lot of projects, they bend over their knees in front of clients and do each and everything like literally peon, clerk jobs too if client asks them to.

I was deployed at a client location 5 days a week and was not giving any specific work to do but was told "Jo client bole wo karna hai". Client was a 24 yr old kid earning 80% lesser than me. He used to hurl abuses in the office, on weekends and even behaved physically inappropriately at times. When I informed the manager, he was like " tumse client handle nahi hora".

Even after raising it to HR, no action was taken and manager also got promotion inspite of being the one aware about everything and not stepping up. I was given way below appraisal than industry and company average and have been pushed aside by the company.

Request help from the community to help me with any openings or jobs in product management role in your company for me to move out of this toxic environment
