Authentic Influencers?
How can I make sure that the influencer that I'm following and consuming content of, is an expert on the topic that he's knowledge sharing on? Are there platforms for this? Asking coz the number based metrics like follower count, likes, comments etc. can be manipulated easily and now in this AI age, even content can be. Where's the trust and authenticity? The messaging, effort, influence and impact are the metrics I feel should drive an influencer’s social capital. Any views on this?

Do follow up research. Talk to them. I've observed.. At least early stage influencers are actually eager to talk to. And if they are authentic they respond will to any questions. They don't dodge them "intelligently"
In any case basic research is necessary to catch any sort of bluff
