Silicon Valley has the smartest people on a convention IQ scale - the Ivy League grads and Olympiad winners. Where are India’s smartest located? 
Are they all abroad?

Bengaluru doesn’t seem to be it because all they are coming up with is yet another B2B SaaS or work for some big tech company.

I do not know why, but the startups at Bangalore (not unicorns), which are reputed but established but other startups saying they feature innovation , product-based innovation, increasing innovation, etc are all shit as most of their revenue comes from clients, and once they walk out, they are closed up, In last week, 3 of my friends got laid off and there are really tough times ahead. 

Any one here has experience with shitty startups in Bangalore?

Delhi vs Bangalore: For startups

I was wondering if Uttar Pradesh can be the next Bangalore. It has everything. It has a large population which is decently literate. It has IIT Kanpur, IIT BHU, NIT ALLAHABAD and other deemed universities. It has good connectivity to Delhi with Expressways and Highways. Crime is significantly down. It has the largest Airport coming in India Jewar International Airport. It has cities like Noida which already is an IT hub. 

I believe cities like Lucknow and Kanpur can be the next hub of investment and employment opportunities in India. They have their own metro projects for city commute and for long distance travel we have RRTS service that is a work in progress. To top it all Alcohol is not banned here unlike Gujarat.

I think with the right planning Uttar Pradesh can have several Bangalore-like tech hubs. What are your thoughts on this?

I am currently in process of sourcing reports doing location study for GCC, R&D and ITS setup for foreign clients.

Till now, this language imposition issue was discussed in corridors and never included in official reports when discussing location strategy. But its changing now and situation will only deteriorate from here if there are any more language riot or hooliganism. 

Other state govt officials now openly quote such news to foreign company leaders and why shouldn’t they as it’s competition to get more business and jobs and your competition is making self goals.

Thoughts ? I feel this will backfire badly

My friend was a B.Tech. graduate in 2019 from a Bangalore-based university. She could not complete campus placements in Bangalore due to multiple backlogs and she had joined a startup that was in the seed stage. She completed her graduation in 2020, and her startup also collapsed as it was running out of funds. In a few months, she joined another startup in Bangalore, that was in the seed stage. She completed her graduation in 2020, and her startup also collapsed as it was running out of funds. In a few months, she joined another startup in Bangalore, which was in the founders ran with theVC money. After a year, she joined a mid-cap startup with 2 years of experience, and she was treated as a fresher due to her previous companies not being able to give her a BGV and she had to start from scratch. She now works at IBM as application development with a good package, and last week she got collapsed as it was running out of funds and in few months she joined an other startup in Bangalore which is fin tech which was bankrupt as the founders ran with the vc money and she joined after a year she joined a mid cap startup with 2 years of experience and she was treated as fresher due to her previous companies not able to give her BGV and she had to start from scratch and now she works in IBM as application dev with good package and last week she got married too

When i asked her for advice she told as Bangalore startups are just an other piece of shit cloning ola and uber and waste VC money just telling people who work at a startup. to shift to better roles asap seeing the economy

I recently moved to Bangalore and almost immediately went into a zone of persistently feeling sad and hopeless. I refused to take antidepressants. I am doing slightly better after few sessions of therapy, but I want to know some other alternatives? Anybody experienced the same thing? What makes it better? Bangalore feels like a culture-less city tbh.

Depression is common in Bangalore?

It's same for all metro. But I will tell what helped me. 
  
 Don't just work and eat sleep. 
  
 Pursue few hobbies...like i picked swimming, running and gym on weekends. 
  
 Read books... 
  
 Travel to South Indian places and beaches hill stations. 
  
 Read spiritual books or listen to them. 
  
 Eat healthy, watch healthy, think healthy. 
  
 Always take care of parents n siblings health especially.

Hyderabad.  
  
 Bangalore is crumbling and it's just a pain to step out for anything. It's extremely dirty, full of potholes way worse than other cities, and overrated "startup culture". Go to hyd and live a slightly better life.
