Been in industry for 10 years now working on PHP. Have tried my hands on Python and AWS too. Looking to pivot into data science or quants. Any course for learning anyone could suggest? More importantly are courses from upgrad good enough to add value? Looking for views and suggestions! Thanks

However, the fees for these courses are substantial, each exceeding 1 lakh. I believe upskilling / sideskilling is extremely important to remain competant and relevant in the tech world. And employers should invest into providing these resources (like access to Udemy/Coursera/Udacity/LinkedIn Learning etc.) to their employees during work because this also improves the quality of their workforce. What perks does your company provides for upskilling? Would love to hear your thoughts. P.S.: My employer gives access to Udemy and Linkedin Learning + there are some regular Advanced DSA tests + Code Review Mentorship programs + lots of other mentorships + options to do part/full time M.Texh/PhD (many of these are performance dependent)

Any platform/course suggestions? Want to learn data analytics. From excel, sql, data visualization to data science. A comprehensive course. Not looking for credentials, just to learn.. but good enough to complete it fully.

I've been coding basic stuff for 12 years now(since I was 12). I just know basics of programming I search Google for syntax most of the time. Been long time since I used SQL Now I'm a professional trader and am planning to switch to tech for stability. Because I'm a CA and from commerce background I feel Big tech companies won't consider me for tech role. I'm 24 yo and want to start fresh. One of my colleague suggested Datacamp and it's good for beginners. Is it worth buying annual subscription? Suggest any good alternative if available. Also, will big tech companies consider non engineers?

Looking to start learning something different

Hey IT industry champs ;) I have 15 years of Sales and Marketing/Product development and management experience in the BFSI/Fintech domain and want to move to the IT industry. Educational background: BCom(H) MBA(Finance/Marketing). (Not from the Top 20 MBA colleges) I am open to learning new skills including Coding languages/Tools ,and if you know someone who has successfully moved from non-IT to IT industry after more than a decade of work by upskilling themselves then please throw in an example. Looking for some encouraging inputs :)

I am to move into an ML platform engineering team a few months down the line. Most job opportunities for an ML platform engineer mentions strong knowledge of kubernetes, Kubeflow/ML flow, API design and deployment along with coding language(usually Java, python or Go). Are there any must read resources which could help me while upskilling for this role? I already have access to O'Reilly and have read and practiced most of the exercises on Kubernetes.
