Kyle spent much of the first year of the research portion of his physics PhD (July 2018 - April 2019) just getting the first version of this code to run properly regarding simulation of measuring black hole masses by modeling astronomical data. However, o1 created a running version in just 1 hour.

I am 2019 CSE graduate. I used to work in some startup in Bengaluru but during covid when I was home I switched jobs and choose a permanent work from home. The pay was double what I was getting in Bengaluru and I thought Its better to be near parents and work. When I left my job first job I was a Senior SDE already but I switched to this job for a SE role thinking will get promoted later. Since then its been 2 years and I have not got promoted. Manager cancels all the One-One meetings just 10 mins before the call. I asked him last time and he said he is going to recommend me in the next cycle (perhaps next april). But now he will have a new manager under whom we will work tldr; manager is changing. I feel very stuck and regret my past decisions. I am happy with the CTC but its just that I am turning around 5 years of experience but still an SDE. I have worked countelss nights and weekends to deliver on time and cancelled plans many times. Is it a good time to look elsewhere?

I'm 21 and just graduated and I'm working as an AI developer in my company. I feel like my life has become monotonous and I am not learning a lot. My company does not provide me with a lot of active projects and I feel like I'm just passing time there which kills the drive to learn. I've always been eager to learn more and work more and do more things to grow my skill set in any domain possible but I feel stuck due to a 45 hour workweek and Gurgaon being a money pit makes me spend my whole salary only on rent, food electricity, gym and travelling. How do I break this barrier to achieve growth and what are some skills that I should learn as a fresher that can help me become better at my job, improve my personal skill set, help me communicate better, etc.

I joined tcs as fresher in dec 2021 with 3.36LPA. i was on bench for 1year later in feb 2023 got a call from a manager for allocation. She told me my role will be shell script developer. I accepted to join the project and later came to know it is a legacy project in which there is no development from 5 years. I have gained little knowledge in my project on linux, apache installation, apache oidc module authentication, weblogic , and sql. By this dec i will be having 3years of experience and i couldn't justify myself what i have done. I cleared wings 1 digital exam in this may cycle and currently ctc is 8LPA ( incentives depends on appraisal band ). I am interested in front end so i learnt mysql and html/css and currently learning ReactJS. Should i continue learning React and complete some projects like cloning websites. What are the chances for switch with the react knowledge for a 3 years exp. should i continue my learning try switch on React or switch with apache, linux and weblogic knowledge? Please add your thoughts on this...
