Breaking into PM with a decade of exp
How does an experienced person break into PM roles. Points to keep in mind while.providing suggestions: 1. 10 yrs exp in Tech Industry- 3 yrs in services and 6 years in product based org as QA. 2. Did MBA( full-time from MDI) and now back into the services industry as a business manager. Never get shortlisted for product roles, most get shortlisted for consulting roles( which I want to leave 😕) Any method that this break can happen, or should I stop trying in this lifetime
I found that practicing problem solving regularly and following freely available content online for about 90 days makes you absolutely interview ready!
This practice led me to land an APM job at urban company. After my placement, I built something that could be helpful for you as well! I thought about productising my practice routine and built Pearmock.

Do valuable PM work in current org. PM is a mindset. It’s also not all rosy as it feels. Develop it. And they will see it and it makes for a discussion. It’s not a title or role you just glide into.
As much as this is true, where OP needs help is in getting his foot in the door. At your YOE, it looks like your best chances to get into this is by joining an early stage startup as a founding member and owning product
