I'm ex Bstack. Things are bad & getting worse. The oldies or OGs (internal for old timers) are only getting promoted.  New ones are either put through a grind and the best ones are kept & rest are fired.  Sinking ship!

Look for better options, Bstack wont be my 1st pref for WLB as the design team is constantly working on new projects and hence there is a fair amount of over working that may be required. Plus all design reviews go through founder approvals so there could be rework , redesign or even start from scratch.   
  
 Upside : Great minds in the design team , good products that are in the works 
 Downside : founders still making decisions in minor impact areas , frustrated workforce , lots of senior level exits in the last 6 months leading to lots of tension within teams.

I'm a software engineer with 2 years of experience. I feel like I don't have programming acumen and can't understand things like others. I really struggle at my job and has to give extra time even weekend to perform at my job. 
I don't understand big codebase, integration services.
I feel like quitting this job and do something else but can't gather enough courage as job is paying well and paying my education loan also.

Will be joining browserstack for a L3 role frontend, please share anything that would help me there.

Off late, the frontend engineering at Razorpay has become more of a data entry job. The design system (god knows how many years it will take to be completely ready) is restricting both the devs and the designers a LOT. Designers are literally fed up with being dictated to design things only in a particular way (limiting even animations, font-size, choice of italics v/s bold). There was even a long 2 month discussion to get font size for a component to support higher value, if you honestly want to know. 

The so called core team has been developing blade since God knows when. Agree that they've done a great work with tokens and other stuff, but it seems that by the time it's ready, it'll already be outdated design wise (suxs).

So, any other devs, all they have to do is follows.

1. Open Figma
2. See if the component in Figma is supported by Blade.
3. If yes, then see if our designer has by mistake used any font-size, color, margin or spacing not supported by Blade.
4. If yes, start a thread between everyone and give them a month to come to a resolution (Blade team always retaliates like it's a personal attack)
5. Eventually end up using your own component to save time and move fast.
6. Explain to your manager's manager's manager why you can't use Blade. (they've funded it for 2 years and no dev likes it, so they push it from top)

Hi, 
I have 5 YoE and I am currently working at a small company doing backend and infrastructure development. My current comp is 60L pre tax. I am looking for a change and I have an offer from zscaler.

The offer is for 38L pretax+10L stocks every year. The compensation is low but work will be interesting for me. Should I join them? 

The one huge downside is 90d notice period they have. I am inclined to join but deathly worried about 90d notice period.


An alternative is, I keep practicing leetcode, apply to bigger companies in the next 6-12 months and join them instead of zscaler. 


What should I do ? Please suggest
