CAT 2023

Hey people, I just started preparing for CAT'24. A bit about myself- Graduated last year, with an Engineering Degree, working as an Associate Product Manager (~1 yr). I've started with IMS modules and solved a few previous year sectionals, not complete papers though. I take out time to study on weekends and on days I work from home. Could anyone suggest a strategy; as to what topics to target first, what modules/ mock series to purchase, if needed etc. Thanks, looking forward to your suggestions.

I am planning on preparing now for the CAT exam. Obviously I know I am late for the prep. Just want to know on a realistic basis is 99+ percentile achievable from here? Or for that I should Target CAT 2025?

Anyone here wrote CAT today? I gave my CAT today in slot 1. How was your experience?

I am from one of an old IIT and haven't faced any ragging or harrasment from seniors over here apart from the freshers party where the seniors themselves told that if you are not comfortable then you can leave. Not one incident after that. Instead it has been a total opposite scenario and the seniors are too helpful here in a variety of ways. I have friends in IIT Bombay, Kanpur and Delhi and they too told me the same thing. I was very surprised and astonished when I found out that kids age 18 years old aren't engaged in ragging at IITs but adults age 23 years+ doing their MBAs are doing the same at IIMs. PS: I plan to pursue an MBA from an IIM in the future but such incidents are a big turn off for me hence I wanted to know the reality.

Hi everyone, I am an engineering student of IT (graduating in 2025) at a tier 2 college (a new iiit), and looking at the market conditions I have decided to pursue mba and have been preparing for CAT 2024 for the past 3 months along with placements preparation. Although I am pretty confident in my CAT preparation (I am getting decent marks in sectional and full length mocks), still anything can happen. And because of CAT preparation I also can't fully focus on my placement preparation (preparing for ML and data scientist roles). To do my best in any one of the two I will have to focus on that one thing so pretty soon I will have to choose one, what should I do? Even if I give my best for my placements I don't think I will end up with a job of more than 7-8lpa.(And this is best case) All of it is very stressful, financially also my family isn't very well to do.

I am a 26F, 3yoe in advertising and marketing. I'm tired of being in agency side and serving the brand. I wanted to shift to brand side for that I'm planning to give CAT and get an MBA from IIMs. To be honest I feel super underconfident to give a try. I am disappointed with myself and throwing a lot of self hate for this attitude towards my preparation. Anyone who has cracked CAT could teach me how to overcome this would be highly appreciated. Hi all, I got an admission call from IIM Bodhgaya. I would like to try again next year for better IIMs but my family is scared to lose this chance to join an IIM. Since Bodhgaya is one of the newest IIMs, is it worth it to join or better to try again next year?
