Can I be a successful C++ developer ( Quant developer) ?

In every tutorials, blogs, articles, we have seen written ' for beginners ' . But for what type of beginners? I need u to assume 2 cases :- Software engineering isn't for everyone. One can be hardworking for years and learn DSA but we can't say he is intelligent if he isn't able to understand concepts in first attempt ( as it is obvious if someone is studying something for a long period of time he is going to remember/understand/memorise it ). BUT THEY WILL WORK AT LOW PACKAGE FOR THIER WHOLE LIFE or may be he drops the idea of becoming SE. On the other hand, if there a guy whose thinking ability is good, can understand things in one go, doesn't memorize the code and have the all basic concepts clear in mind. WHO CAN BECOME A SUCCESSFUL C++ DEVELOPER?

Always wondered what does the work comprise exactly? Does one do maths all day or little coding with maths? Are the high paying jobs really that stressful? If we are looking to switch from SDE to quant roles, what to focus on? TIA. P.S. From the OAs of some high-end quant roles it seems that they really get into the nitry gritty of a language like C++ and focus on lots of maths, and not much DSA. Do correct me if am wrong.

Is there a way to get hired as quant developer after 2 yoe in basic Java microservices? What should I get good at to stand out for quant companies?

I have basic idea about what a quant developers do. But need a detailed roadmap from an experienced person and how much time does it take if i start from scratch?

I am currently in my 3rd yr. I'm about to give my 5th semester end sem exams. Till now I haven't done any coding as of now. I was only enjoying college life with friends. Not blaming but there is no coding culture in my college and I myself was also not aware about the market. Now I realised that I have done a big blunder. What should I do first now? I started learning Java during the Diwali holidays and I'm half way down. Pls tell me a roadmap so that by the end of 3rd yr at least I have a good internship in hand. I wrote all of this here because I think I will get some really good and valuable advice from the experienced community. And I need it very badly. Please tell me a roadmap of what I should do and what I should avoid?

I don't know c/c++ or even java . Basically any such language which deals with pointers and all. I practice dsa in Javascript. Have worked on mern till now and want to aim for faang level companies.I even planntonlearm golang next. I want to ask if shall I learn c c++ etc or continue on my path.
