95% of Indians* who can afford travel
People just throw random percentages
A co-founder coming up with such stats out of thin air is extremely disappointing. Then what's the difference between an IT Cell/WhatsApp University and this?

Looks like he has joined IT Cell, and curious to know since when this pandemic spread to linkedin?
He is making use of IT cell for customer acquisition. He will abandon it if it doesn't cause revenue growth.
If tomorrow any Japanese minister says some shit will cartoon network ban anime and only stream chota bheem?
Companies should not make political statements because it hurts credibility. They should always strive to be neutral
Even by his own chronology he should have stopped bookings to Maldives the moment President of Maldives won in November 2023. But he waited for a moment to play the India card. Everytime EMT tries to explain their stand it only gets furthermore awkward.

I think indian investors pay premium on companies implicitly/ explicitly linked to current ruling party. On the day of news, most rational markets would sell the shares and result in drop in stock price. For EMT, stock price increased.
After reading the first bullet my understanding is that the majority of Maldivian voted for India Out and EasyMyTrip merely facilitated that.
Is that the right interpretation based on the english used?
Yes, you understood it right. He's just using sarcasm to say that Maldives anyway wanted Indians out and so EMT did what they asked.
So for something which should have been handled diplomatically by the govt, EMT pitched in and said let me add some fuel to the fire.
