Career Switch from QA to PMM

I am 4 years of QA who handles almost all prospects in product (Both manual and automation) . I tried to switch to PM and learnt PM principles and created portfolio. But now I am in dilemma that switching to PM or QA in the rapidly changing technology environment . Kindly suggest me some insights

I am deeply worried, to the extent of feeling depressed, about my career trajectory. I feel I made a mistake by switching tracks via doing an MBA with 10 yrs exp. I was a QA for a decade and tried a lot to break into PO roles( worked in a product based org on mobile apps for 6 years). It did not work and the director of PM advised me to do the one year fulltime MBA. Not sure why I gave in to his advice, but I gave GMAT and began with an 18 month Full time program at a Tier-1 Bschool. Cracked placement in the first go but got into IT services( not in WITCH), and now I am stuck being a PMO for a client. Even when I look at my resume, I see a crappy profile, everything is disjointed and makes no sense now. No wonder I get no calls. I don't want to go back to QA, this Project Management work is shitty( cannot see any learning happening, but the client is happy so I'm stuck in this project. ) I want to move to PM, thinking maybe CSPM can help, not sure where I am headed. Any guidance for this middle aged dinosaur 😞

Hi guys, I have between 5-6 years of experience in engineering role (QA/Test automation). However over these years I have found the role to be unfulfilling due to the growth, impact and visibility. I have been considering going for a full time executive MBA (In India/Abroad) to switch into a PM/Strategy role. Wanted to understand if this is going to be really worth it, considering I will have high chances to start again at an entry level position? Or is this common to do post MBA?

I understand this is not exactly about being a PM , a little background - I've done some Comms/ branding work in some big name companies & startups, I have the inclination to learn and understand how PM works and wanted to understand if there's any course/ bootcamp/ project I can take up to apply for Product Marketing Manager roles? Hey good folks, I’ve have had a decent long career of 9 years now, started with finance for 1 year switched quickly to category/program/ business facing roles for the longest time, I have worked in various edtechs - notable Unacademy initial days, currently working for a fintech company, I have a very good interest in tech as a whole for a long time, product management is the best role for me move forward and switch, I wanted to know a way to switch or learn in the right way, do courses work ? Will only practical experience work ? P.s not exactly a newbie in the space, I’ve identified problems, ideated, built and solved problems via features, functionality and process all in the purview of product + results - one of the reason why I find it extremely interesting What would be an optimal way to become a PM (wouldn’t say a right way)

Indian. I am a SDE (backend) currently. ~2 yrs exp. 16 LPA and I work 40-50 hrs a week. I like where I am, but I am not feeling the zeal for tech anymore. Probably will do a MBA down the line (thinking abroad, not sure) Looking for equal or greater pay, similar WLB, new domain. Should I switch to PM and try a hand at it? Am I aware of the reality or living in my own isolated reality?

I’m looking to transition my career from QA manager to technical program manager. What are the things I should do to make this transition smoother, any inputs on the same and courses to be taken would be helpful. Please advice

I have 2.5 years of experience working as AI Engineer across 3 product based startups. Have worked on 3 distinct products/features. Interested in role of a PM, and considering to switch. Is it a good time to switch? Will be joining a cohort, reading a few books, case studies, network to learn about PM and interview prep. My current CTC is 14.5LPA, will I have to take a pay cut if I start as PM? How difficult will the transition be?

Hey all, I'm seeking some advice and guidance from this amazing community. I'm currently at a crossroads in my career and would appreciate any insights from those who have been in a similar situation. For the past 12 years multiple domains like Business, Digital marketing, Ui Ux & digital transformation, lastly 1.5yrs back I had the opportunity to become a founder of a startup where I handled both product and marketing. Unfortunately, that venture didn't find PMF, but I gained valuable experience in the process. Now, I'm considering whether to pursue a career as a product manager or product marketer. Also i didn't borrow any salary from the startup will it have any negative effects & how to mitigate them? Lastly based on the above background what would be the ideal package to go for?

I am a Software Engineer(3-YOE) and want to transition to Product Management role. Does the ISB PM certifications help us in any form for that or regular MBA is required to get the role.
