One of the significant findings of Project Oxygen was that managers do indeed matter. They play a crucial role in the success and satisfaction of their teams. Effective management can lead to higher employee engagement, productivity, and retention. In contrast, poor management can result in disengagement, turnover, and decreased team performance.
Managers are also the punchbags for both higher management and lower rung . If not for managers , companies collapse in a day. You remove all VPs and Directors companies can run for decent short term without issues .

What made it best? The pay, the culture, or your manager?
Do anyone else think PMs aren't very good at the things they are supposed to do. It is evident from failing products across industry. Any views??
