Ceo’s office / Founder’s office roles - pros & cons
I am interested in transitioning into strategy consulting. I have small year workex in auditing. Wanted to know the Pros and cons and the future of these roles.
Pros-
1. You will learn ownership
2. You will be thrown at every problem which gives you an opportunity to learn a lot of things faster
3. You will learn office politics, upward management and resource allocation from the most important person in the org.
Cons-
1. If your founder is an idiot, you will learn to hate your job
Is this a good role to move to strategy consulting eventually?
Should I first look at strategy consulting at big4 or focus on founder’s office?
Can’t really confine my advise to a grapevine comment
1. What do you hope to achieve from either roles?
2. What is your background about what you have done before?
