No....I feel it will create more jobs as with advent of it people will try to bring in more tech products to the market in turn creating more jobs....Not saying no job cuts at all but there will be a job shift....

White collar jobs will be replaced at a faster pace than blue collar jobs. Tools like ChatGPT will replace the need of having multiple people on a particular project. Hence the "optimization" will happen such that if 10 people are need to do a project only 2 or 3 will now be needed. The remaining people will have to find new projects. As AI gets better the number of people needed would decrease.

Every unintelligent part of any work be it coding or testing etc will be automated and hence more likely to be impacted by AI tools like CHAT-GPT. Team size may see reduction of 30-40% initially. This will have ripple effect on middle management layer as less number of them will be needed due to smaller team sizes. Lets wait and watch.

A project deadline was missed and project manager called team(10people) and infront of them he completed the project not alone but taking help of chatgpt and 4 of 10. "So u see 6 can be replaced anyday" he told . Your bro being intern was just mute spectator but inside fati to mere bhi thi. So guys use chatgpt otherwise someone will replace u by using chatgpt

Unpopular Opinion: It's a great time to be a PM

No, I'm not talking about the job market. That's dog shit -- barely any vacancies, and engineers earn 25%ish more. However, in a world with 10x better Co-Pilots and other GenAI tools, problem identification is going to be every employee's moat. 'Tech-Enabled' Business PMs will have the brightest futures. There's already a rise in PM-led vs Eng-led startups. This will become clearer 5-10 years down the line. Also, supply-demand is not as skewed as you think. Everyone thinks this job is easy, and hence, a bunch of folks are aspiring PMs on LinkedIn. I believe quality PMs are still rare (personally have a long way to go). Would love to hear more. I'm young in my career and maybe naive but this is what I feel.
