I’m super confused with this cogoport incident, can’t the company sue for what the person has done? I mean to me this seems like a punishable offence but not sure what the legal procedures are related to intellectual property.

I have been watching LinkedIn for a while and recently it feels all the comments seems and feels like ppl trying to present themselves and glorifying the post, like chatufying, those making meaningful comments are discarded or ignored completely. 

I feel LinkedIn has failed as a platform, ppl who can game the platform get visibility rest who are good and genuine don’t get calls or visibility at all.

This might be a reason why everyone is trying to game the platform rather then learning and having skills

What is happening these days to people on LinkedIn, some are giving shit gyaan on things they have learned from some shit incidents.
Some are giving daily gyaan on how would I learn DSA if I had to start again (posting once is okay but once in a week or month, writing same post makes them looks like either they don't know the strategy or there is no strategy), personally I have stopped following these people on LinkedIn, their posts on LinkedIn about DSA and lld makes me feel like I have wasted my whole college and school life. I don't understand how could these guys working in FAANG write 3-4 long posts about cranking FAANG and studying DSA and LLD, how do they even get ime to do research and post.
The list could go on and on...

We all know it’s high time that we need an LinkedIn alternative. Which are those potential LI alternatives you have recently joined or heard of?

The startup is Accel and Elevation backed. 

The company raised seed funding because the founder and team is from IIT- Kharagpur, and Accel + Elevation have people from IIT-Kharagpur working in their team. 

The founder has no prior work experience, no manners on how to speak with anyone (office boy, or women employees) keeps firing people who don’t agree with him, insists on being in the office for 12 hours because he pays us. 

Hiring criteria is -
1. Single people, so no distraction. He asks are you single or in a relationship (in the interview)
2. No married people 
3. Hire women only if they can stay in office till 5 AM (US based startup)
4. Everyone has to be in office for 12 hours compulsory for all 6 days of week

He boasts on how the VCs will save his ass even if the product fails, has said that worst case scenario I will make money because I know company will be acquired. 

He hires domain experts, makes them create playbook and train juniors to do the work, and then fires them saying "We have to stay lean, and this is a bad market". He did this with 3 departments already. 

How are the VCs not asking him basic due diligence questions? He is now raising 8 million follow up round.

RANT.

This is grapevine for godsake. Name the damn startup.
