Credit Card recommendation
What's a good credit card for someone that'll start working soon? Expenses would mostly be electronics, and food
Fair warning about HDFC credit cards… they don’t report credit limit to cibil. Cibil takes maximum amount due ever as ur credit limit. So as a starter credit card HDFC may not be good for ur credit score.

I think this is what happening to my account.
Any way we can report to cibil from our side?

You can get HDFC regalia first card easily. Others mostly reject due to salary constraints

Regalia is different and regalia first is the other one - I got it without much hassle.
Yeah agree with most here - HDFC has one of the best spend-to-points conversion (gets better as higher up you go on their card list)
You can check out Axis cards as well - they typically have some discounts running with food delivery companies + have a perpetual 40% off tie-up with Eazydiner on dining outside
Below cards work if you just use them for needs
Online - SBI Cashback
Offline - Axis Ace/ Flipkart
But if you spend 80k+ per month consistently, then get the premium ones like Magnus, Infinia etc

I feel when you just enter workforce, you seldom have any financial knowledge and by getting credit card you end up making unwanted purchases and fall in the debt trap....so I feel it's better to get a credit card may be after 3 years of work experience

It completely depends on what you spend your money on. If you're someone who shops via amazon or Flipkart a lot, then get Amazon ICICI or Axis Flipkart. If you do frequent travels then get one with cashbacks on air tickets ans lounge access.
I personally have HDFC Millenia as it offers best all world's and my sis has Amazon ICICI one which I use when doing online shopping.
