Remote Working/WFH options in Finance
Are there very less roles in finance which offer WFH/Hybrid options or am I not searching in the right place? Big 4s were offering WFH but not sure till how long will they continue.
Folks,
This is my first post. I wanted your input on switching my completely in-office job (mandatory 5 days in office with zero scope for WFH unless for emergencies).
I’m looking for a remote-first company and willing to switch for 35-40% hike from my current CTC.
I’m holding another job offer currently (30%hike) - during the initial screening they offered me Hybrid but after interviews they stated it’s mandatory WFO.
Can anyone advise how the markets are looking and what expectations I should hold on to while on the job hunt? Any referrals in a remote-first organisation would be much appreciated.
Location: Bangalore Expectation: Remote or Hybrid but location needs to be in Mumbai.
Thanks folks for reading on till now!
Remote first companies are either going out of fashion or going out of business (least of all Fin-techs)..Unless it is a large reputed global MNC like Accenture or IBM that have been practicing remote work for years, this would be a transient phase.
The 40% hike will not increase your actual worth unless you get to do interesting things.
My suggestion would be to get real and pick up a real job with a real company..it will help you a few years later..
But travel is a damned in Mumbai.
Why are you spreading panic on this platform? I’ve been remote for last 6 years making over 45 LPA with European startups. I’ve never been to office all the while and never plan to. Just because you are stuck doesn’t mean everyone else has to
know a Fintech in Mumbai who's hiring for an HR but they need in office for 3-4 days atleast, lmk if you'd be open.

Hi folks,
Looking out for remote companies with decent pay and reasonable WLB. Please reply if you know any.
Decent pay = close to FAANGM equivalent TCs (including ESOPs)
