Hi All, 
Currently, I'm working as a Cybersecurity Analyst (handling PKI operations). 
This work is very limited in the project and tbh not so interesting.
I have interest in the Azure cloud and completed the AZ-900 certification.
As data field is in demand as well as I have interest in it, would like start my journey in this field.

If any Azure Data Engineer can guide me, I will be really thankful!

Most data engineer or architect interviews have a system design, ds algo round.
But real world work hardly requires writing any algos or working beyond Lists or Hash maps.
What is the point of asking questions on skills which are not relevant to the job?

Why ask DS Algo in data engineer interviews for job roles required to work only in cloud services?

I've been an Oracle Database Administrator handling databases and exadata, data guard, performance tuning (not so great at it), little bit of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as well and typical DBA tasks including tablespace reorganization, migrations, etc. for the last 3 years. 

Now I'm thinking about transitioning into a Data Engineer/Data Analyst roles as it seems it is having a more lucrative future ahead.

I'm good at doing DBA things but I'm doubtful about this considering the future scope of this as there isn't much a DBA has to do in databases as most of the work is handled by Database itself but I have an interest in it and getting calls from other companies as well for the same role.

Is DBA a really good career option considering the future and the compensation?

Or exploring or gaining skills in data engineering/analyst has more benefit?

Also, what would be the best among Data Engineer/Data Analyst/AI,ML Engineer?

I will be using a scale of 10 for better quantification. 


Python : 7/10
SQL: 7/10
PowerBI: 9/10
ML(Pandas): 6/10
PLSQL: 6/10
Advanced Excel: 8/10
Azure Databricks + DataFactory : Started learning
Apache Spark: Started learning
Communication skills: 9/10

Prior Work Ex: 1.8yrs as a PLSQL developer (started off as a fresher) + one SAP internship of 4months + one Data analyst internship of 1 month

Aspiration : Data Engineering Role

1. Is the above techstack enough to get me a good data engineering role? Will I be able to clear the technical rounds at companies like accenture, IBM etc with this profile? I have heard the barrier to entry for data engineering is higher than that of data analyst.

2. Do I need to learn DSA?

3. What salary range do I fall in with this profile? 


I seek your honest answer. I feel lost. 

Also, should I focus more on improving my cloud skills or shall I be more competent with my python skills? Which one would pay me off in a better sense financially? I certainly can not focus on all the tools at once.

What skill should I learn more to get more package 10+ package
