Daily Watercooler (30th June)
Hey folks, Happy friday! What this post is: a place to hang around and chat just about anything - without having a specific topic to discuss. Think of it like the watercooler at your office. Look forward to hearing from you all :)
Writing this has made me more cognizant of the date. Holy shit, it's almost July already.
On Friday's we should have beer on tap instead of watercooler #thinkbig #chillfridays

I just want someone to attack our office so that I can use my powers and save everyone. (Deep down I know this is not going to happen and I'm not Batman)
I had a perfect exit plan planned in case of an attack on my school, which included rescuing my brother but letting my annoying cousin die.

To,
The PM of Grapevine,
I am an avid user of Grapevine and regularly engage in posts and comments. In the recent past I have noticed that infusion of this new platform in my life has increased my phone screen time by avg. 30 min-1 hr per day which has an inverse effect on my daily productivity.
In order to limit my phone screen time, I am planning to uninstall all the social media apps from my phone and use these platforms only on desktop. However, it has come to my notice that the UX of Grapevine is highly inconvenient on desktop. Therefore, I request you (the PM/devs) to make the desktop experience smoother for Grapevine users.
Feel free to contact me any time in case you need some suggestions on improvement (I will share my topmate.io link with you).
Thank you
LaidOffEmployee

My interview went bad. No reply from HR afterwards. I am stuck in this analyst job. I really don’t know what to do. I hate opening LinkedIn seeing all my peers doing pretty good in good companies. Trying to solve DSA but no progress. I feel so miserable and stuck . I don’t even like hanging out with friends because it reminds me I get paid much less than them. I still keep doing DSA but I know it will be hard for me to switch due to my analyst role in company. Yeah that’s my rant

I am feeling really down rn, I am doing a product growth internship, they are paying me but, I am not getting enough work, I am looking for new opportunities, all these startups hire growth interns and the only task they ask them to do is social media management, that's boring af, it's not even a skill.
I am learning proper SEM now, I am exploring new opportunities, if any of you are hiring or know of any product growth internship opportunities, please let me know, I would be forever grateful 😭

Industry lacks honest people, you should really put your thoughts in front of the management in a constructive way. Give em some possible solutions too, that always leaves a nice impression!

Nope it isn’t. And deep down you know it too.
So I've negotiated an offer with a Co. with distilling in them some confidence that my current Co will reduce my Notice Period from 2 to 1 month. And hence received an offer of joining in 1 month.
Looks like they probably won't reduce it. Does the offering Co have a huge reason to rescind my offer here ?

At most companies you have the option to buy out notice period by paying them equivalent salary for the period waived. Check out if this is a feasible option. There is also a chance that the company that is hiring you reimburses this expense
Got a 3% raise. Don't know if I should be mad or annoyed or feel incompetent.
