I am 23M working in a well renowned Fintech startup. Have got what I have dreamed of in college like high ownership, good pay and other similar things. But lately realized that I can't do these things for my majority of life. Although I enjoy my work but still feeling lonely and aimless.

Previous to September it was remote but now they have made it hybrid and I have to reallocate to Gurgaon and now I am feeling more lonely and aimless in life.

Have tried travelling and other stuffs inorder to find interest in life but nothing excites me.

Graduated in 2021, got an okayish job, still doing well career wise. I tried my own startups too. But I've never got the feeling of "yehi karna hai yaar life mein". All the friends are now disconnected. Doing WFH since forever and don't even have good connections at my current org or in my previous org. 
Tried therapy as well, didn't help much, they recommended medications, but that I'm not willing to do as of now. I don't know whether it's just me or this gruelling feeling of existential dread will ever go away. 
Maybe software engineering as a domain is like that, encourages introverts and introvertedness. But idk something is not right. No friends, no space to vent out frustrations. And it's been about 3 years since I last had a conversation with the opposite gender.
I'm in complete mental mess, only thing keeping me alive is probably gym.
I just want something to cling on to, to know this is not the end and this is not how it will end.

Dealing with lonliness

I have permanent WFH and have been doing the same since 1 year.
But now I feel I'm missing out on things that my friends living in Delhi are doing.
For context: I have a girlfriend, would love to live with her. Have friends that are all in Delhi.
Yes, the money is piling up in my account but I feel like I am having no memories of my 20s. I had college in lockdown. And now job at home.
I don't go out, have no friends here. Just wake up, work, sleep. Don't feel like going anywhere.
Thinking about moving to Delhi but 20-25k per month is making me skeptical about it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Everything has been bought by parents EVERYTHING
My mom would always make sure she or dad paid, saying you can keep your money for yourself (which I initially thought was very sweet)
Now I see how I am dependent on them for all

What ever I have bought can be put into a polythene bag and that's all my life (I generally spend on food and stuff that goes away)
I have bought certain items for family or the house, but that isn't mine obviously 

I need to get out of the house, my mental health is at the edge

21M working from home as a SDE. I do live with my parents in a tier 3 city. Most of my time is just spent working on my desk. This is just depressing as I don't have many friends to hangout and even those I have are busy in their own life. I make good and can easily afford to go and live in a tier 1 city but will that be a good option leaving my parents and knowing most of my time would be spent indoors. What would you do if you were in my shoes.

I work in remote based startup of Bangalore. And I live with my wife and infant in some tier 2 City. And my parents live in my hometown. I don't want to shift to my hometown as it doesn't have basic facilities available and I don't like being there as I get bored. My parents didn't want to leave hometown. And they continuously tells me yaha kyu nhi rehte. What should I do?

I wish i could skip an year or two of my life

I’m from Tier 3 city, software engineer, 7 YoE. I work with great team member and they really love their work but I’m not that passionate. I take ownership of my work but don’t feel like I belong here. I’m not good in coding and SDET by profession. I didn’t save enough money in my first 3 years of career, switched back to back from 2020 onwards and recently moved out of India and now I think I have enough money. I always wanted to settle in my native place, Prayagraj in UP unlike my colleagues and most of my friends who enjoy to be in metro city. I somehow feel I have very less needs and if I shift to Tier 3 city, I’d have less expenses and I don’t have to buy houses as I already have home. At the same time, I feel may be I feel FOMO 5-10 years down the line I left good job, lifestyle.
Additionally, I’m looking to get married, none of IT sector girls want to live in Tier 3 and rightly so as they put so much effort so they want to live/settle in metros mostly.
8 years back I took GRE, put all efforts to do MS from US. 2 years back, I got this opportunity to live that life but I feel I don’t enjoy hustle culture/ city lights. Don’t like cafe hopping or anything. I feel at peace when I visit my hometown, my paternal/maternal houses, Varanasi Ghats. 
I have 1.3 Cr INR but given I’m just 30. As per Finfluencer or by  my sane calculation, this is not sufficient. Post marriage, this is certainly not enough. Should I take a break and assess or just keep pushing myself to earn more and then go for FIRE.

Hey folks, I recently moved to Bangalore for a role at angel one and I am not liking the city. All my life I lived and worked in NCR and I’ve realised that me and my wife can’t live anywhere outside NCR. No friends in Blr plus far away from home plus its just too expensive. 

Want to move back, I am looking for product rolesin NCR(SPM,GPM). Can someone help here with a referral? I have a very strong fintech background but can’t find anything for Ncr location on other platforms.

Anyone from hyd. How are you managing hybrid work from office. My office has mandated 2 days / week. My home town is 6hr away from hyd. How are people managing this kind of situation.

Rant alert: 

Have you felt the same way? How many years of work ex after which you started feeling this way? 

Stability and money I’m grateful for. But I hate the constant comparison and competitiveness among peers/colleagues. Makes me want to quit and do a Teach for India fellowship. A little corporate detox. 

Wish I had become an athlete instead. I know it’s not an easy life, but It’s the kind of competitiveness I’m inclined towards. Not inclined towards the kind where you compete with people to please a company that will never care for you as a human. But people fail to recognise that, lose perspective, and lose themselves too. People have no class in this shitty world. If I have kids, they’re definitely becoming athletes and not entering this hellhole. 

Most ironically, I’m borderline considering an MBA to escape the corporate life for 2 years, but obviously I’m aware I will only get entrenched further in it due to the degree.

Hey Everyone! I am currently working from 2BHK home and facing multiple issues to build focus in my work. We have only 1 AC so my Mom and Dad (works from home as well) are always in the same room where I work. I have asked my dad to buy another AC but he has already refused me.  Similarly, I can't move to another room because that is more spoilt than my original one having access to balcony where maid washes utensils and a washing machine is present. What can I do?

I got a remote job and planning to shift to tier 4 city. Major reason is to be with family and have slow pace life. The small town has good enough infrastructure including good internet and road connectivity.

Do you think it would be a good idea in short term or long term? I am planning to continue remote job only until the day comes where i wont be able to find remote job.
