Digital Marketing to Product Marketing roles in Tech.

How difficult is it to get into Product Marketing? Is the role fun or monotonous? Asking cause I want to understand how to transition into this role.

Anyone here switched from marketing to product? If so, how ow what steps are required? Also, is switch possible at senior Manager levels?

Hey all, I'm seeking some advice and guidance from this amazing community. I'm currently at a crossroads in my career and would appreciate any insights from those who have been in a similar situation. For the past 12 years multiple domains like Business, Digital marketing, Ui Ux & digital transformation, lastly 1.5yrs back I had the opportunity to become a founder of a startup where I handled both product and marketing. Unfortunately, that venture didn't find PMF, but I gained valuable experience in the process. Now, I'm considering whether to pursue a career as a product manager or product marketer. Also i didn't borrow any salary from the startup will it have any negative effects & how to mitigate them? Lastly based on the above background what would be the ideal package to go for?

Hi All, would love to hear your thoughts/ideas/strategies on how to switch from a Senior Customer Success Manager role to a Product/ Project Manager role. Brief background - Total Work-Ex 9 years (2.5 years in IT services pre MBA + 6.5 years in Sales/KAM/Customer Success post MBA). Recently have switched few companies in search of better roles/compensation and that also reflects in a negative way in resume. Not able to get even an interview call while applying for PM roles. After being in this industry for a while, I've realized it's not the right fit for me and I'm looking to make a switch. However, with the tough market conditions, I haven't had much luck finding new opportunities. I'm really interested in transitioning to tech-related Product Management, Marketing, or Strategy roles, but most job postings require 2-4 years of industry-specific experience in tech. I've also heard from colleagues that it can be difficult to switch industries when you have a background in insurance. This has left me feeling a bit demotivated and unsure about my prospects. I would love to hear any advice or suggestions on how I can better prepare myself for these roles and increase my chances of landing a new opportunity. Hi, I have close to 2 years experience in consulting mostly in implementation and support. I am looking forward to making a career in product management and would like to know how can someone with no product experience make this transition and land a job? Also what would be the best way to make this transition?
