Hey everyone, I hope you can help me out with this one query i have, is it fine to tell the interviewer that i got laid off when they ask why i am looking for a job change in this marker?
I have been WFH for 2 years, have 6L in liquidity for runway i guess, idk if it's safe or not but how is the job market currently. 
Recently gave interview in a tier 1 product based company, got rejected in 2nd round as well so what should be my plan now? 
How to tackle this feeling of being incompetent and anxiety?

Got a decent (30%+) increment this year. I was leading the mobile platform but currently, I'm on a notice period. CTO is supportive and helping me via their network.

I'm a recent graduate and this is my first time experiencing a layoff. What should I do now? What things should I keep in mind looking for the next opportunity?

The ongoing layoffs are causing significant mental and financial strain. We're uncertain about receiving our dues. What legal avenues, like legal notices, have proven effective? Any suggestions for law firms or lawyers experienced in such cases?

Someone in ur team or someone u had good relationship (work wise) with gets laid off? Do u discontinue working as hard? Does ur team velocity decrease or increase as everyone does better for survival?

With all the layoffs news, how do u cope when…

Had this thought since long back, but there's one common pattern I have witnessed. 
Since the Twitter layoffs, all the companies out there (including FAANG/MAANG) have joined with the layoffs trend. What's surprising is that most of these companies have had a great financial year and made profits in billions. 
Recession is a time when markets go down and companies can't retain their customers due to economic or socio-political issues. 
So the current situation has made me question whether the layoffs are actually due to this fancy term called 'Recession', which most of the tech influencers out there are preaching and selling thier courses with (shame on them for doing so during these times) or is it actually the VC's control over the companies which is making the CEO's take such decisions?
All things aside, My heart goes out with people who have been impacted by layoffs. Don't forget that there is a thin line between being laid off and being fired, so don't lose your confidence and look out for new opportunities and sell yourself in the market.
Never forget, no matter how the market conditions are, if you are skilled and good at what you do jobs will always find you.

I am an ML engineer working in a startup.

My current situation is horrible,I am constantly stressed about getting laid-off(My performance is good,I got promoted a month ago). I came to know that my company will probably lay people off this month,since they are unable to meet targets.

Now,I got rejected in four interviews.
There is a lot to learn and revise.
Stats and probability.
Machine learning algos.
Deep learning architectures(got rejected because I was unable to explain the architecture of a complex model in detail).
DSA(got rejected twice in this round).
SQL (got rejected once since I was unable to solve the SQL problem).
ML ops(some recruiters ask this as well).

With the added pressure of getting laid off,my whole life is turned upside down.I am unable to focus.
Every meeting or discussion I attend I feel like people are evaluating me.( This was not the case before).
I don't know what to do.
It would really help,if you guys share your interview experiences below.

Got impacted in the layoff at Sharechat today after working 4+years here.
Got the news an hour back and have not shared this with anyone in my family yet.

I am sad and have to share this news with my fiancee and in-laws today. Tell them why I have to cancel vacation plans and look out for a job instead.

I am into an arranged married and my in-laws are very conservative and don't understand tech work culture, I don't know how they will take the news of a layoff.

I'm anticipating they will be shocked, her asshole brother-in-law will even make fun of me.

To make it worse the fault is mine for believing I won't be laid off when my company was not doing well. I thought it would not happen to me and never looked out in advance.

Fuck 2023. What a shit show Christmas.

I don’t think you should cancel the vacation.  
  
 My point is - all hiring team members would be out, so nothing will change in hiring spheres.  
  
 But you should face your in-laws and you’ll learn more about them before you tie the knot. Job loss is temporary, getting into a relationship is more longer term.
