I always suggest people to take insurance via offline trusted agent(s). In such situations, you need a person on ground to help, rather waiting for ‘tickets of approval’.

+1... Most new age insurance are companies that entered to capture the "float". They most likely will use all delay and denial tactics.

One of my friends had taken insurance through even. So to put some lights he got admitted to the hospital on Monday, he got discharge approval yesterday(Wednesday )around 1pm, the insurance claim was begun around that time and he is still there waiting at hospital after spending an extra night in the hospital.

When you call them and ask, they just say they dont have any update, this process has taken more than 18 hours now. Still waiting at the hospital and writing the review here (Thursday ) Please don't ever buy insurance from them.

I was wondering how big hospitals communicate within departments given that so many of the  are working in psylos. For example, department handling patients will send details of bill to account department, and further they'll again send that info to TPA (Insurance) and again back to accounts department. 
I mean as a patient I faced severe issue while getting all this cleared and there was no central communication channel (something like slack). 
Anyone in community has information about this?

I added claim for appendix operation and I’m on notice period. My managers and HRs are ghosting me. Plum comes back asking for the same document. 

Have a big amount (the amount looks big to me) used up for this as the hospital didn’t have cashless facility.

Me and my spouse in total are earning 6 Lakh a month pre-tax, but inspite of that there is too much pressure on finances. I am just amazed with the cost of living. Rents, School fees, EMIs, Taxes are just eating away all the income. I am barely left with 1 lakh at end of month. 

This saving is not enough for any emergency. Recently my family faced with medical emergency and I am still recovering with the debt it created. Company covered health insurance denied the claim on certain grounds and we were f**c***.

It looks so pretty from outside, but honestly I am frustrated even with this package in hand. Is anyone else feeling the pressure, or I am just bad at managing finances?

4. Car/Bike Insurance
5. Term Life Insurance

Today I saw my payslip after a long time and WTH! I don't know what they'll take once bonus comes in. Paying this much for no water, bad air, corrupt babus and all those douche things.

As much as patriotic I am, this is just insane. On top of this add all the GST and sheet ton of other indirect taxes.

Living in India and paying like Europe. Wow!

Earning around 50 lpa at 24 is already a great feat. Still if u want to look at the dark side, nobody can help. This rant is more common than diabetes. Yet people will stress about same thing and rant to destress. Endless cycle. Either do something about it or bring some new perspective. P.S. I am in alignment with ur rant but I’ve made peace with the state of affairs as I am not looking to move out of India and I cannot strong arm govt. individually to change this.
